This reminds me of Dusty's first birthday! We invited all 10 puppies back for a first birthday party. 8 were able to make it and one of the owners bought a birthday cake for three dog barkery. The cake looked like it was made for humans!

My husband came home at the tail end of the party when everyone was leaving. He went to the patio where all the food was still out and started to eat the cake! When I came back he said this cakes a little dry. I burst out laughing and couldn't manage to tell him he just ate the dog cake! :D Eventually I did tell him and he said he was feeling ill! :p We still laugh about it all these years later! :D

I made these the other day, really easy, and you know exactly what goes in biscuits if you make them yourself.:) The gang absolutely loved them.

Tuna/Milk Bone Dog Biscuits
· 3/4 cup hot water
· 1/3 cup margarine
· 1/2 cup powdered milk
· 1 teaspoon salt
· 1 egg, beaten
· 3 cups whole wheat flour
· Variation: increase margarine to 1/2 cup and add 2 teaspoons sugar
· 1 can of 180gm tuna
In large bowl pour hot water over the margarine. Stir in powdered milk, salt, and egg. Add tuna. Add flour, 1/2 cup at a time. Knead for a few minutes to form stiff dough. Pat or roll to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into bone shapes. Bake at 325 degrees for 50 minutes. Cool. They will dry out quite hard. Makes about 1 1/4 pounds of biscuits. Costs around 30 cents per pound.

Autumn loves the carob doughnuts from 3DB. I means LOVES, she jumps and barks and spins in circles and jumps when I bring home a box. They are really good and of course I get the "What are you doing?" look from her if I eat one of her treats. I get them from Shopko and sometimes from 3 Dog Bakery if I'm in Madison. Haven't tried these cookies yet, not a big fan of oreos.
