I am having surgery tomorrow. This will be about the 3rd surgery in the last 9 or so months. This time its on my foot, they are going to do a scope (they make about three incisions in your foot, and stick a camera in their to find the problem) and take out the bone that broke off about a year ago. If they can they are going to screw it back on, but the doctor doesnt think he will be able to because it has been so long... so they might just cut off all the scare tissue, and then sew the muscle back onto where it is supposed to be, but if they do that I wont have full movement of my foot and ankle anymore:o

What Happened Was... I was warming up before a basketball game ( a year ago ) and a girl ran in front of me, and I tried to swerve around her while trying to do a lay-up, and instead of my foot going to the side it go pulled back and the bone came loose, and the capsoule that your bone sits in on your ankle broke. My coach just taped it and let me play again.(this was in Jan. of 2004) in Nov. '04 I went to the doctor and they did and MRI and the radiologist said it was fine. It has still been bothering me so I went to a different doctor, he said the MRI was not fine and that they had to do surgery, to correct the problem.... SO, I will be in a cast and on crutches for a while...:o

That sounds very painful. I hope you do well during and after surgery. Also, I think your parents should pursue the fact that you had a wrong diagnosis and maybe they should help pay for your medical bill.

I got back about 5 PM today, I feel great! I dont have a hard cast, just a wrap, it is huge though... I have to go back to the doctor on Thursday, the 21st. They ended up just cutting out the scare tissue and shaving the bone down... :) Thanks for all your prayers and wishes, they really helped!
