After viewing Lut's wonderful pictures, I thought I might share some from my mom's yard. She is a Master Gardener, and her yard shows it, for sure!!!! :) I'm not quite ready to share my own, but I can live it through hers. These pictures were taken this past Sunday (4/10)

Great pictures. :) Sometime I do want to have a house with a yard and everything, but I am lazy to do yardwork and such. :P

Beautiful!!!! Our yard isn't big and its hard enough for us to handle. I'm amazed at how people maintain such amazing big yards! I *love* gardens. I just get tired of taking care of them. :o

Loved the pics. Thanks for sharing!

Logan, your mom's yard is B E A U T I F U L!! I want to take my shoes off, get a glass of iced tea, sit in some lawn chairs with a good book and/or a good friend!
I've seen some pictures of your yard with the animals before and I think I told you then I loved it...now we know where you get your green thumb from! ;) Can't wait to see your yard when you're ready! It will be a masterpiece I'm sure.
Props to your mom on all her hard work! I don't have a yard (we rent) but I do have a plant! And I think it's dying...no green thumb here:)

Beautiful! I'll bet it's a lovely place to sit on hot sunny days. There is so much shade from the trees.

Wow, your mom's yard is BEAUTIFUL!!! I'm sure she is spending many hours maintaining it!! There is lots of shadow under those trees too. I'm looking forward to that too, but our trees are only 3 years there, so they are not big yet...

Her yard is her life, Lut! I'm glad you saw the pictures!!! :) I was hoping you would. My mom is retired and went through the Master Gardener program at her local extension service. She can tell you the scientific name of every plant in her yard, no lie! I heard them all on Sunday morning, but she knows how much I enjoy it, so I encouraged her to tell me.

Thanks for all the compliments, everyone. I'll be sure to let her know!! :)

Your Mom has a beautiful yard!! It does look very inviting. Is she is South Carolina too? SC has a certain "charm" that nowhere else seems to have. Your Mom has captured that "charm" perfectly. Did it take a long time to complete that Master Gardener course? That's is so great that she took the program and it's paying off elegantly!! You go Mom!! She is inspiring me to go for that when I finally retire. Thanks for sharing!!

Her yard/garden is located in Sumter, SC, for those of you who are interested. She is a little southeast of me, by 100+ miles. Her spring comes a little earlier than ours.

I have no idea how long the Master Gardener course, took, but I do know that it was time intensive at the time she took it and it still is since she is so active in that organization.
