My hubby spends all his free time in our garden. He is so proud now because we have such great flowers everywhere. Yesterday he gave me a hint: "Why don't you show our gorgeous flowers to your friends on PT? Would make me super-proud :D "

Well, cannot disappoint such a request, can I ;)
I spent all morning resizing 24 pics. Are you guys ready?;)

Gorgeous garden that your husband created! Parrot tulips are one of my favorite Spring flowers. I had to chose between dogs, or a pretty backyard...guess which won? Oh well they do double as not only alarm systems, but garbage disposals too lol! You've got such a lovely peaceful looking yard Lut! (Lucky you that hubby does it all). :D

Oh Lut, Bernard surely does have a green thumb! You have a lovely back yard with lots of gorgeous flowers and folliage, makes me so jealous as I could never have this with my new heathen dog...he's like a horse and would trample everything in his way:o

Tell Bernard he should be very proud of himself! Thanks so much for sharing the pictures with us!

Oh and btw...what kind of flower is this? I just love it!

:D :D :D Oh Lut, please tell your hubby that I think his garden is simply spectacular!!! Also, now that I have seen the "spring" garden - I MUST also see the summer and then fall version of this beautiful work of his:D
Do you think that could be arranged as the seasons change??

I love how he massively clusters like-colored tulips together and mixes in some other spring bulbs. The clusters bordered with grape hyacinth are also gorgeous!! There is a very pretty tulip with a dark lavender color I have never seen before - and speaking of herb lavender - I see that yours is blooming:D Mine is just budding out. Oh and the white bench among the flowers is a wonderful touch also. Do you ever sit there and read or work on a craft?? PLease pass all of this on to him, would you??

Oh and would you let me know what he does with the tulip and daffodil foliage after the flowers have bloomed? Last year I tried rolling them down and securing with rubber bands to make way for the summer flowers - but never sure what is the best treatment. Thanks!!

Oh Lut, I wish you husband could have heard me say OOOO and AWWWW over each of your photos.

What a spectacular display. As someone has already said........you can just see the love that has been put into this garden - and now you have Mother Nature's reward.

Bernard should be very very proud............wish my own thumb was that "green"............

On which picture do you see that tulip, Debbie? Maybe Bernard still remembers its name  ?
We have lots of different tulips here, as we live so close to Holland (20 km) , which is THE country of tulips!!

This is a close-up of those flowers, Debbie:

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/berlut/pulsatillavulgaris.jpg

These are indeed no tulips. The name is: "Pulsatilla Vulgaris". The flowers are "hanging down" a bit today, but that's because it is raining!

When I had Pulsatilla, they were never anything like as nice as yours. What is Bernard's secret?

(I suspect he will say move somewhere drier!) :D
