Google Satellite - COOL!

Cool, yet freaky. I can spot my house perfectly.

http://maps.google.com/maps Just click on satelitte then type in your address. Some places don't have satellite pictures.

I'm not sure why i'm so fascinated by this.

That's really cool!! There's NOTHING in this area here, I guess they figure that trees aren't very interesting.

But I can see my parents house perfectly and their neighborhood and both my elementary and high schools. What fun! :)

Look to the top right corner, on the tan colored bar. It says map and satellite......click satellite and it will change to satellite pic

I've been 'driving' around my whole city. I 'drove' from my house (with my finger), to my city library, to Safeway, to Jamba Juice, to Starbucks, to my friend's house. OMG. This is so much fun! I recognize every road down there. :D

OMG, Kay, you made me most happy with that link!! We lived in St.Louis Missouri from 1983 till 1985. Now I typed in our address there, and I found our house there :eek: !!!

I couldn't access the Google map now, but I have another good site for maps, with aerial views - at least in England.

I had to print screen & then crop mine. It wouldn't let me right click and save it for some reason.

Click on Satelitte first and it will show the ground from a satelite. Then put in your hometown.

Go to satellite. type in Wichita, Kansas.

Look at the city. The river that winds through the city looks like Snoppy. LOL I have lived there most of my life. It's funny to see from satellite. :p


OHHHHH too cool. Put your cursor on the map and click on it. You can move the map around like it's on your desk. WOW.

Here, I got you all a photo! :p The treed area all behind Lexi's house is ours:pIt looks really small, but trust me, ITS HUGE! Its so fun! There is a dog park just past the end in my pictures, but even if that side was there, it wouldn't have looked like anything because the picture has not been updated. My pool looks like and itty-bitty circle, but its not:p

   In 2004, Google purchased Keyhole (http://www.keyhole.com/), a digital mapping company. Keyhole has satellite images of Europe and hopefully Iceland too. It is a subscription service but it does have a free seven day trial.

I did my old childhood home, where I use to live before, my Father's place now etc etc. Pretty neat to see them all from the air.
