My laptop is back in business. They had to replace the LCD completely. Luckily the repairman was a cat lover. He quite enjoyed hearing about how Halo destroyed it. Link to Computer Free (http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=75285)
The computer was still under warranty, so I didn't have to cough up another $430 for the repair. I do have a little problem so I'll go back to the store today. They made a complete backup of the computer and put it on a hard drive. But, they didn't restore any of my files. So, now I have this hard drive thingy with all my data and no way to access it. There must be some sort of cord or gizmo that I can use to connect it to my computer and copy it all back on to my computer. I still don't understand why they didn't restore the files. What do you want to bet that for $430, they'll restore it? :rolleyes:
Got lots of catching up to do. Are K&L home? Did they have a great trip? How about MULTICATMOM? What happened to Sheba *POOF* Puddypaws? Was Jan able to rescue the other kitty? How is Allen's chin? What's up with Kahlua? How is Gary doing with Scrappy2? Did Jen have any more adoptions? New fosters? Kittens born? Is Laura home from the Mighty Mississippi? How are Kim's daughters (and kitties, of course)? Is Lizzie continuing to warm up? How much longer until the new Sirrah baby? Did the new Japanese dishwasher get installed? How are the job searches going for everyone? SEEEE how much I've got to get caught up on? Guess I'd better get started.... It's good to be back.
