Awesome! I can't believe how good those are withOUT the macro lens! I have a macro mode on my camera, and I love it.

Here's my first pic I took with the macro, although its really hard because it's slow shutter, and it was hard getting her to sit still.

My cam does have a macro MODE, I'm just talking about an actual macro lens. (My camera, you can remove the lens and put different ones on, normal, telephoto, macro, etc) Cool pic btw

Thanks everyone :)

The pictures are terrific the way they are. Can't imagine
macro could make these any better. The flowers & insects are
fantastic. Very beautiful:) My flowers are still coming up and
very few have bloomed yet. What a treat to see flowering plants.

Thanks :) The macro would just allow much more close up, and details.

I believe those flowers are called Crockuses (sp) They only bloom this time of year (spring, when the snow is melting) which is why I love them

Amazing!

How does the focus work on the cam? Is it like the focusing ring on a film slr?

OMG, I have to share these with my Mom! She loooves crocuses! We obviously don't have them here on the islands. ;)
I am personally a fan of the ladybug shots. I just found a cute ladybug the other day and held it for a few minutes. I remember wishing my camera had strong enough zoom to capture a nice photograph of my little friend. Now I can live that dream vicariously through your pictures!
Fantasic shots, Audrey! :D

I love those flowers. Great shots. Looks like your doning a fine job without the macro.

Our's are long gone here in Seattle, as we had a VERY early spring. I added yards and yards of dirt to our back yard so the bulbs were burried too deep too bloom . I photographed some last year in our neighbors yard and they were gone this year too. The squirlls move them about thinking they are their nuts.

Here's my lady bug. I had her for about 1/2 an hr and than she left me. She got tired of posing !!
