Your Vet,should carry a Cat Shampoo,that is safe,and effective,but getting a Cat,to sit still,for a bath,is not an easy task,i remember,when Mr Fluffy,had poo,behind,the tail,and I had,to bathe him,in the Laundry Tub.PU! And I had,to waer Leather Gloves,as My Pal Mr Fluffy,was not a Happy Camper!

was her first bath, i thought you didnt have to bathe them, but i realized, hey.. ill give her a bath, see what happens, and she didnt like it, but she managed, she sat still, and didnt meow till i was almost done.. then i brushed and brushed her, and she loved it.. and she was actually softer than before.. she is still shedding tons. its like, never ending brushing.. lol.. http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b5da20b3127cce90a337ae3ac000000016108AZNW7hmzbt- http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b5da20b3127cce90a337b43ada00000016108AZNW7hmzbt- http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b5da20b3127cce90a337a83ac600000016108AZNW7hmzbt- http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b5da20b3127cce90a337043a6a00000016108AZNW7hmzbt- http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b5da20b3127cce90a337d3bb8d00000016108AZNW7hmzbt-

Just make sure it is kitty dandruff, I queried the vet about my two who also have it, my Lexie did not when she first came, but now does like Ash, it can also be a mite that causes this, especially if you notice them grooming extensively, mine both just have dandruff that I am sure of, but I will probably change to Avantage Multi for their flea treatment, and that will make sure there is no mite.

As for bathing, I would'nt even attempt to do my two, I want to live a little longer lol.:)

My Allen has some bad kitty dandruff now too. I think its like humans with dry skin during the winter. I don't know what you can do about it, but would like to know for my big fella!

No the mites are microscopic, if you use Revolution on your kitties and they have the mites it will kill them, if it does not clear up then it will be kitty dandruff for sure.

I just queried this about my own kitties on their last visit, obviously the vet cannot tell just by looking either, she recommended using Revolution or Advantage Multi, I intend to next time, so we shall see if the kitty dandruff clears or not, usually they groom a lot if they have mites she told me., hope that helps you and Kim.

I bathe Sonny once in a while with regular dog and cat dandruff shampoo. He sits through it with grumbles but comes out softer than ever. My big problem is not with dandruff but that he gets all greasy, and sometimes sticky, along his back where the kids always pet him, two four year olds and a ten year old with dirty sticky hands. The brushing at the end is like heaven for him and makes up for the lost dignity of getting a bath in front of the dogs.
