I'm just about to finish cooking dinner. Spicy & sweet plum roasted beef which has been slow cooking on the BBQ all afternoon, going to serve that thinly sliced on a bed of jasmine rice.:)

I just got back from babysitting. Wow, what a scary night. I swear I felt like there were ghosts all around me. I was so tense and freaked out. It was just a weird feeling. And of course to make it worse I decided to watch a scary movie after the girl went to bed...She got up at 10:00 and stood in the hallway. I saw some movement and looked over and she was just standing there. Scared the crap out of me.

Now I should be getting sleep...because I have to get up at 6 in the morning. I am selling things at the Kids Sale at the flea market tomorrow. But I'll go to bed in the morning and just be really tired tomorrow lol.

just got back from the trial and it was raining all day. he didn't so very well in the agility (he came 4th with a few faults), but in the jumping he got a pass with a time of 25.07 seconds and also came in first place.

WTG Foxy :D. We got rained out at our Flyball competition today aswell, so that sucked :(. And now my back is playing up because it is cold.

On a good note, I signed up for two job shadows today! :D I'm going to work at Petcetera for a whole day, and since Jynnelle is the only one there qualified to jobshadow, I get to work with her all day! :D On another day I get to work with a groomer at Furry Friends. I bathed for them one day last summer and had lots of fun. This time I might actually get to do some grooming though. Two great things to put on my resume. I'm really hoping Petsmart will hire me when it opens, so this should help me out. I'm also hoping that Petcetera will offer me a job after I work there for that day.

I have no energy left lol. Today during gym class I had to do 15 laps around a huge field and a bunch of other exercizes and I had gym last period so after that I had to walk home (I could've taken the bus but I didn't feel like waiting for it lol.) which took about 45mins or so then as soon as I got home I had to take all 4 dogs for their walks but they all have to go separately (my Dad's rule.) and that took about 2 hours or more, then when I got home I had to go shopping. lol today has been an extremely long day.....

Then I had choir, and the teacher wasn't there, so I went to the career centre to talk to a counsellor about dropping a class and getting 100 credits, but none of the counsellors were there. I waited for an hour. They came in and left several times. Now it's break, and I have English next. Uggh. Luckily after that it is lunch, and I can just go home because I have a spare last.

Jut got back from garage saling!

I got waaay more baskets for my raffle than I need. I got probably 20 baskets. My mother is not impressed.

I also got this GREAT dog grooming book. I want to be a dog groomer, so this book wil help alot. It has all of the AKC breeds in it and tells exactly how to groom each one.

I also got a fish bowl with supplies in it. I don't really need the bowl, or the chlor-out, or the goldfish food...I just wanted the pretty rocks lol. Kelowna doesn't even have chlorinated water so the chlor-out is really pointless.

I also got a new skirt. I hate skirts and I never wear them, so this will be interesting.

And I got shampoo...and plants...

I LOVE garage sales. They are my hero. ^^

You know, Ashley and I were talking about what breed would be best for you...but we couldn't think of anything LOL. We thought along the lines of...Smaller than Tikeya...Generally non-dominant...Doesn't bark much...doesn't shed much...Doesn't need an excessive amount of exersise...Intelligent and independant...Good at dog sports, like agility...Good with children and other pets...Preferably spitz...We just couldn't think of anything LOL. One day you'll find something, and stick to it. ;) I hope. LOL.

Haha no kidding. I love great danes, but I could never have one. Add up the cost of food. :eek: They eat and poop like a horse. Plus I wouldn't like having something that couldn't do dog sports very well because of their joints, and didn't live very long. But I sure love great danes. I remember when your mom said she always wants to have a great dane....maybe she will get another one day. :D

I'm excited. :D My brother's dad has been looking for a dog. He really wants a border collie, because he likes the look of them, but he wants a dog that will sleep on the porch all day. :rolleyes: The other day he asked me to check with everyone I know, or look on the internet, for any cheap or free dogs under a year, especially if they are black and white or have border collie or springer spaniel in them. Turns out that my friend's dog had a litter of puppies (accidental litter). Shi-tzu/collie mixes. :eek: Explain that one to me. 12 of them, all black and white except one brown one. They will probably be free. I told Hugh, and he says to hang on to their number and when the pups turn 6 weeks he will go and take a look at them (they are trying to get rid of the pups right now -- 3 weeks old! :mad: ).

I think this will be alot better than him getting a border collie. My friend said the pups look like border collie pups -- so I'm hoping it will look somewhat like a BC but with a shi-tzu behaviour. I'm happy because now he won't get a BC and then regret it and give the dog away or something.

I spent the last few hours cleaning. My body is killing me. I cleaned out Mike's tank and put the new rocks in it. Looks purty. Tomorrow I have to clean the rat cage. -sigh- More cleaning. Tell them I said you can keep him there. That should do it. :D It seems that they should already know you'll be responsible for your dog, so why not? :confused:

My husband and I both decided to give up smoking. It's very hard to do. I'm thinking a cigarette would sure be nice.:rolleyes: We haven't smoked since Saturday morning.:D

both of my brothers have quit smoking! keep it up, it's made a lot of difference in their skin, hair, and, health in general, and, it's only been about eight months combined! congrats on making the effort, at least!

Thanks so much for the support ladies. I'm determined to beat the things. Wish I never would have started smoking way back when. We saw on the news where Peter Jennings has lung cancer and it freaked us out so he is part of the reason we quit.

I've been really sad about Player latley. His 6th birthday is coming up next month. The weather was like it was almost every day while I shareboarded him, I was wearing my favorite shirts to ride him in, it was so pleasently windy, like when we rode alone outside on saturdays. Then, on my shuffle, I was thinking, I hope The Wind comes on next. And it did! I used to sing The Wind by Cat Steevens to Player. Plus they give you free stuff, so that's alright. Hopefully it isn't all free food. The only food Caleb has ever done really badly on is Nutro. Pukes any time he eats it. I'm working on Saturday too. It's too bad Jynnelle never works the same time I'm there, though she'll be at the convention tonight.

The Nutro convention lastnight was fun. :) For every question you got right he'd give you something. I got a bunch of scratch-n-wins lol. I won $2 on one. Whoo hoo, that'll send me right through college. :p Jynnelle didn't go, but oh well...I'm going back to Petcetera to work tomorrow as well. At this rate, I will definatly get my 100 hours, and my 4 credits for school! :D I only need 49 more hours. On Monday I needed 73 1/2, so that just shows how quickly I can get these hours.

My counsellor doesn't believe I can do it. She's being such a cow though. She made me cry the other day. She makes everyone cry. She's the most insensitive person. My friend went in to see her, and the counsellor told her she wouldn't graduate, even though she IS graduating, and my freind just burst into tears and now she's afraid to ever go back. Such a mean lady.

I went garage saling today. I got a book, a retarctable dog leash, some dog treats, and a dog cookie jar that barks when you open it. Then I went to work. There is the cutest gerbil EVER there. She is the best mommy. She likes to sit in your hand and she loves it when you give her babies attention. She runs back and forht to show you her babies. I call her Momma. Then there is the evil hamster that won't let you near her babies. She bit me the other day and drew blood lol. I was trying to get her for someone that was interested in buying her.

I have the biggest headache.

Petcetera is such a boring place to work. Nothing ever happens. People come in and ask the stupidest questions sometimes. One guy came in and told me his dog hadn't had a bowel movement in a week and asked if we carried any medicine for constipation. He said his dog had been trying to go, but couldn't. I told him to take his dog to a vet. What an idiot. It would be less boring if I was getting paid...I'm just there for hours for school. I need to get 100 hours so I can get 4 credits. Just 45 more hours to go. :rolleyes: I'm going to be jobshadowing at Furry Friends soon. Once I start that I'm going to quit jobshadowing at Petcetera.

I'm considering moving to the Lower Mainland...Either Langley or Abbotsford. I love my city, and would hate to be away from it. But there is a bigger pet scene over there. I'd be able to enter and attend more shows. Plus Ashley and Vickie live out that way, and I have some family there. I hate leaving Kelowna behind though...I'm not sure what to do...

I'm really tired because I just had a hot shower. My rats are sick so they are in the bathroom right now sucking in all of that hot moist air leftover from my shower. I'm going to go to bed. I have a spare tomorrow mornign so I have time to sleep a bit longer, actually do my hair, and clean!

I've missed 3 days of school so far, and 2 days of CATS testing. It's so hard to make up that testing. It only takes me like 20 mintues to do each test, but to get the school to cooperate sucks!

I really don't know what I'm sick with. I went to the doctor on Wednesday and she thought it was Strep Throat. They tested me for Type A - there's many other types, but they don't have the equipment to test further. Alas, I didn't have Type A Strep Throat, but until she's sure I have it, she can't give me medicine. Then she said I could have Mono. Oh boy. But with my chest pains and breathing problems (she said I sounded bad when I was breathing) she said I could also have Pneumonia. Uhhhh, is it just me, or don't I need medicine to get WELL from Strep and Pneumonia? I've had Strep sooo many times.. agh. My throat is kill me, and I keep coughing and my chest hurts. Oh joy.

I really think I should take more pictures of Daisy and post them in Dog General. I've never posted pictures of her, except for my introduction threads!

I find it amusing that I've been here for almost a year, and I have less than 500 posts. :p

Maybe next year we can rent a houseboat and camp out at Bear Creek Park...Or we can all stay at my house. I should have a house by then lol. We can have a huge slumber party. Or we can stick to what we are doing this year, every year -- dog park and then camping at Darley Retreat. After all, tradition is nice. :D

I'm really bored, I told some people some stuff, then everyone found out so I sorta spread a "rumor" though its not really a rumor, because it is true, or at least it was a 1/2 year ago. (I am not a rumor/gossiper though, dont get the wrong idea)

I cant ride my horse for a month (doctors orders) I have a horse show 2 weeks after I can start riding, and I havent riden in a year, so I am not prepared at all, but I really need to go to this show, because it is really important that I do good in gaming, even though I am sorta scared of horses since my accident and I am scared to run my horse, hmm.... games (barrel, pole bending) should be interesting!!!!
