Hello. On the Weekend after the Fourth of July I am going to be getting a baby rat after begging and pleading my mom for so long. I do not know a whole lot about rats and I am going to be doing some research, but if anyone has any information they want to put or knows a good website please post it here. I would GREATLY appreciate it.

Thanks again,

I had two rats. They are great pet and are pretty easy to take care of.
-For starters it is going to be scared so i wouldn't try to pick it up too much because it might get away. I usally just stroked it each day till it got used to me.
-What kind of cage do you have? I used a glass aquairium. I bought shaving for the bedding. and I made a home for it out of a old shoe box.
-youn should get a water bottle that hangs on the side of the cage. and there are plenty of different diets you can feed them. My rats liked all kids of treats(Even meat)

Thats the basics if you need any more help you can e-mail me. Good Luck! Rats Are great
