:D I know I drag on and on about how my Peke baby is an agility natural. Now, I actually have pics to prove it! The "dog walk" is homemade, so it's a bit crummy LOL:

As soon as I pulled the camera out, Lucky stopped in his tracks and did a pose. He's so photogenic :p

Well, that's it for now. We still have to get the PVC poles to make the hurdles and weave poles.

LOLOLOL! you totally brightened up my cruddy day of homework, Lucky! :D He looks like a pro on the dog walk! Such a cute little guy ^_^

PVC pipes are awesome... jumps and weaves are so easy to do. I can't wait to see jumping pics! How high are you starting him at? :p

Oh, his jumps are suuuuuper easy. I can command him from 5 feet and say Over and he'll perform. His weaves are terrible, though:eek: That Peke build is just not agility-friendly.

Well, I went by that flyball rule, where the hurdle is shoulder height. I think it's a flyball rule...Anyhow, I realized it was too short, so I upped it to about 12" or so.

:D 12" is pretty good for Lucky!! yep, in Flyball, you measure to the shoulder and subtract 4"... anything above 8" and below 16" counts. The weaves must be hard, but he can do it ^^ I've seen a Bulldog weave.. now that was hilarious..

good luck you guys! I'm sure I'll be seeing you at the National Agility Championships soon ;)

Hey that is great. What a good boy. Ginger really loves agility, and does everything well (took to the jumps like a pro). But the hardest thing for her was the weave poles (and I thought they would be the easiest-Ha, shows what I know). Which reminds me I really need to sign up for another class so we can get working on that again. But good job Lucky!

LOL! I'd love to see a Bulldog weave! Lucky would probably waddle around them, LOL.

I'll save you a seat;)

Thank you everybody. Does anybody have any ideas about homemade weaves? I was thinking maybe I could play off that idea for homemade Happy Legs and use tin cans, fill them with cement, and place the PVCs in the middle. I wonder what you guys do...

That's a really good idea! With mine, I just have 6 stakes lined up and spaced out in the grass, and I just stick the pipes on whenever I want to work him.... I kept having the take them out when the lawn was mowed  so I bought this vinyl strip with holes set perfectly spaced from an agility tourny, so I don't have to measure them out.

Your baby is so cute!!! :D Good luck with the agility!

My husband made me weave poles completely made out of PVC. They are self standing and break in the middle so I can move them easily. He got the directions off the net somewhere but I haven't the foggiest idea exactly where. Maybe you can do some searches.

Too bad! We don't have usable grass up here. That's why I'd probably have to resort to cement-filled metal cans LOL! Bckrazy, where did you buy that vinyl strip? I know I favorited quite a few agility sites, but my computer crashed and deleted a LOT of them. Thanks everybody!

Vette, he's five years old. He turns six in June. I'm guesstimating because he is a BYB dog.:)
