Please be in prayer for the families and workers at the BP Amoco here in Texas City..this is about 8 miles from me...they have said now that 12 - 20 are dead...100's are injured. We are keeping up with it on our local news..not sure if they are broadcasting it across the states, I would imagine they are..its a really bad day for Texas.

How tragic.....my thoughts and prayers going out to the families of the deceased and injured.

Are there any Pet Talkers affiliated with this plant? God, I hope not.

Not good. Been on the news down under. I tried to get some info through BP Australia H/O but not much is known at this stage.

OMG! I just saw a reportage (sp?) on our 1pm-news! The scene of the accident looks like an after-war-place   .
I hope you don't have any relatives working there :( !

You and your whole community will be in our prayers. I hope they find out what caused the explosion, and that they can prevent it ever happening again. Condolences to those who lost loved ones, and prayers for the injured and for the firefighters battling the blaze.

I heard the announcement yesterday afternoon on the radio. For some reason the announcer was telling people in Austin not to panic and to pick their kids up from school at regular time. I guess rumor had gotten out that it was something more than it was.
