there are plenty alone-threads of tabbies, goldens, bettas, squeakies and more... here's deaf-pet thread! while I don't think there's MUCH of you have one..but I do! so I'll start with introducing her, little sweet eclypse altanta!

eclypse was already named when I adopted her in california, but I added her middle "atlanta" in remember of my other white deaf cat, altantic who I lost for a stupid reason. anyway, she's the only very frighten sweetheart I have here to hooman guests but she loves new pets! her best friend is my dog, crayola. she is VERY GOOD at vibrations (like me :D) while sleeping. I once sat about 10 feet away from her, I blooooooooooow. *woke up, peeked to be exact*..."yes, gina?" :D :D also, sometimes after I whistle "dinnertime!", I will have to walk to her and stroke her and sign eat. *MEOWS!* or often since the kitchen is pretty far away from cattree (her favorite spot now...) I flick the light off, on, off, on until she's  --

here's picture of her, any more of you? or had one before and share the funny, cute experiences! :)

oh..ps, her blue eye on right means she's completely deaf on that side but the green one, she SEEMS to hear about 4% but LOUDS rare woke her up.

Pepper is almost completely deaf, but she notices when Autumn is barking and joins in and she feels when we walk past her usually. She uses hand signals if we can get her attention. We aren't used to it yet as she's only been completely deaf for maybe two years. We still yell to her like she can hear us when we want her to come inside.

oh..forgot to say too, please add picture of your dear deaf pet too!

yeah I understand about you yelling for her, one of my habits. I STILL voiced "hey eclyp....ahh!" :) I've had her not for more than two years though.

My mom's Sheltie, Teddy, is now almost completly deaf. We don't think he can hear anything, but we still shout to him anyway!

I have a deaf bunny, a male netherland dwarf. I work with a rescue group and he didn't act quite "right" so I took him home with me.... I don't know how long it was but one day I was in the kitchen and he was out of his pen and sitting with his back to me. I dropped a pan on the floor and all the other bunnies scattered but him. He never noticed..... Poor guy! But he is a cute boy anways. :)

Sorry, can't post his picture, no scanner!
