well, I havent been posting as much, and I havent shared pictures in awhile, so I thought i would. :)

The news is that Elvis is getting neutered this Thursday. I'm not looking foward for this. I just cant imagine putting my boy under all this stuff. I'm just afraid he will get homesick. ---also, my huggest fear is, you know how Tina's dog who passed away (sorry to bring this up again. :( ) but you know how her pup passed away while it was being spayed? Atleast thats what I think what happend, and it just scares me... and well, im having all these thoughts and worries that it will happen to Elvis. :( and I'm not sure what to expect when he comes home. This is out first male to be fixed. Do you think I'll notice a personality change soon? Meaning more loveable? gah, this isnt going to be fun..

Ok, I'm done blabbing..onto the pictures!

Try not to worry too much.

Neutering a dog is much less invasive than a spay. And problems with spays are very few and far between.
I've had the opportunity to watch both operations when I worked at a vet.

Elvis will be fine and it really is better for him to be neutered. I'm not sure if he will become more loving etc, I don't really believe it affects a dog's personality that much.

The pics are great and he has really grown up into a nice little schnauzer.

Good luck we'll be thinking of you. :)

Apparently you missed some about Tina...I missed a lot of it too...but from what has been told now, her dog didn't die from being spayed she "disappeared" from her yard. Just letting you know.

I'm sure Elvis will be just fine! Spaying and neutering is a very routine surgery and neutering is an easier surgery than the spay. When Nebo was neutered he seemed to be calmer, not as fiesty as he was before..which is a good thing! He didn't act like he was in pain at all when I brought him home, he was practically bouncing off the walls. It's best to keep them from activities for a while though!

The pics are adorable!! :D

Everything about Tina's pets was a lie.

I'm sure Elvis will be fine. Just look at all of our dogs, who are already safely fixed. :) I will be sending you all a bunch good thoughts though. Cute, cute pictures! He's so gorwn now. :D

Adorable pictures :D

Tina lied about her dog dying. She actually left it outside and something happened to it...

Thanks Everyone! :D Thats a shame she lied about that. :(

I just checked the calender, and the 26th of March, my mom has to work that day. So I will be unable to attend.

I will ask her about the 29th. I believe she will be off. But hopefully I can get her and my dad to drive to Dayton with Elvis and me. Thats the only thing that always stops me from coming to meetings is the driving part. Besides that-- is their any info of what will be happening in dayton?

Thanks!

Cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute pictures!!!

Don't worry about Elvis' surgery! It'll be just fine. I bet your biggest problem will be trying to keep him calm because he'll probably be feeling so good he'll want to play!

When dogs do have problems with spay/neuter, it is usually because of an underlying condition or illness.

Amber I'm sure everything will be just fine with Elvis. When Oggy got done I can honestly say I didn't notice any change at all.

And post more pics of Elvis and Katie, I've missed those two.:D

Elvis is sooooooooooooooooooooo cute. And so isn't Miss Katie! Elvis will be fine. This is such a routine operation. Perhaps you can leave a blanket with him when he is at the Vet? That'll make him more comfortable and he'll dream of you while he's sleeping.

Adding my best wishes for Thursday -- the surgery will go well! When we had Bijou spayed a few weeks ago, we were worried also but she recovered quickly and except for her first groggy night post-op, was soon her silly, active self again. She actually gets her stitches removed this afternoon, and I'm looking forward to getting an update from the vet.

Such cute pups! You don't share enough of them. Give them a hug from me.

Try not to worry too much about Elvis. He is going to be just fine. I'll be thinking of him and sending positive thoughts his way. Keep us up to date.

Great pics!! Elvis and Katie are SO cute!! Don't worry about the neutering...it doesn't change their personality, so never fear!;) Blaze went under just fine and just had a lay around for a few days. Again, they're so cute!!:D

Great pics! Elvis sure has matured into a gorgeous boy. Love his shiny fur. Don't worry about his neuter, he'll be fine! Ask the vet to use an inhalent anestethic. Those are the safest. Isoflurane is awesome -- not a single death in history from Isoflurane, and he'll come out of it nicely without any sickness. :)

Elvis is SUCH a handsome handsome boy. It seems like such a short time ago that he was a tiny pup! I hope you feel reassured about the neuter, although it's natural to be worried at least a bit! But hopefully you aren't feeling as anxious as you were at first. Elvis will be in my thoughts :)

Thanks Everyone!

I do feel alot better, but still worried for Elvis's sake. I don't want him homesick. I plain on bringing his blanket, and our vet is allowing us to bring his tiny bed too. I worry that he wont be comfortable enough since the cages are metal, and it might be chilly.

-Oh, and I just realised he is getting nuetered on St. Patricks day. haha, I thinks thats pretty cool. :)

Expect a ton more pictures when he returns. ;)

Thanks again!

Thanks!

I called the vet for a check up, and they said he is doing great, and is resting. :)

I'm glad all went well. He comes home tomorrow at 3:00 when I get home from school.

Expect a ton of pictures!
