We should be very proud as a nation of our generous donations for the victims (and families) of the terrorist attacks.
But, during this time of rebuilding our country's spirit, don't forget the needy in your own neighborhood. There are still abandoned animals and abused kids that need your help!
Many small charities are cutting back or closing completely because so much money has gone to other national causes. It only takes a few days without money to cripple or kill these good works.
Give if you can. Give to New York and those suffering there. But also give some to your neighborhood shelter or other local charity. Please help ALL of America grow and heal in this time of need.
