I saw a segment on ABC's Nightly News about a blind girl who is competing in the Iditarod. I noticed that some of her dogs were wearing a type of shoe. I'm curious if these shoes are available because I'm wondering if they'd protect against roadsalt and electrical shock hazards, here, in the northeast. Anybody know? Thanks.

I don't know where you could get those particular ones but you can buy dog booties lots of places. I have some I ordered from http://www.petedge.com

Well, they didn't show them up close. In a way, they kind of looked like a hoof with a strap across it from what I could tell.

Rex has very sensible paw pads, he wears booties from Sabro.

Rex looks like a great dog suited for the snow! Is he wearing the paw pads and the booties in the pic? I had a Samoyed as a kid and she loved it when it snowed!
