As most of you know, we're re-landscaping our yard.
We're looking around for some flowers.. our preferences:

ALL of them need to be able to thrive in Florida.
We need some that do well in full shade
Some that do well in full sunlight
Some that do well in a little of both

Preferably ones that bloom often.

I like bushes that have lots of different blooms, and grassy like plants with blooms. I also like *BIG* blossoms.

Also, my favorite color is purple. ;) but any color flower is fine.
I *KNOW* we're going to be getting some lantanas in several different colors.

Anyone have any recommendations as to what to purchase? Pictures?

Thanks!

I am not good with flowers, so I have no advice. Just wanted to say good luck and I can't wait to see the pics when you are all done.

Lut...wow, your garden looks gorgeous. Lovely flowers. Can you please send hubby my way to do some gardening ;) :p

Hibiscus!!! They are so hardy. They do great in the shade or in the sun. They have big blossom that bloom all the time. You can let them grow big or easly keep them cut short.

The H's have it! Hibiscus (both shrub and tree) and Hydrangea! Big bloomers, lots of colour, and easy to care for.
