His nickname is "Mike Tyson" because he's a big, huge guy with a little wimpy meow. He was a stray who jumped in her open kitchen window one day and fell asleep in a bowl of kitty crunchies.

My Second Cat Rb Mr Scrappy,whm I have spoken,of many times,I found poor scrappy,stuck,in a newspaper box,mmmeeeeoooeeeoowing!He had peed,on the paper,under him,I put a quarter,in the box,and put him,in the carrier,taht I had brought down,and took him,to the Vets.After he was checked over,I brought him home,and Pouncer,beat him up.I was gping,to take Scrappy,to the shelter,as it appeared that they would never be Friends.As I put him,in the carrier,he started to cry,and Pouncer walked ,over ,and cried too.I let him,out,and from then on,they were the Best Of Cat Friends,which lasted,to Pouncers Passing.I called him Scrappy,as he didnt take ouncers agression,lightly,rather,he was a Scrappy Cat,sometimes,giving,as goos as he got.But the NOISE,at first,scared me,as I thought,that we all were going,to be evicted.

Sam,and Diane,came from a broken,home,when a fellows wife took,off,with another man.She had purchased Sam,and Diane,named after the Cheers Stars Characters,and he tolerated them,although not really a Cat Person.They brought Diane,over first,and she missed Sam,and he missed her.He was so sad,and scared,at thier house,as there were loud children,that my Friend,the Late Norma,Broadbent,brought Sam,over,and they ran,into each others arms,.and were best friends again.Sam,I called Shemp,in honor,of the Late Comic Actor,and Stooge Shemp Howard,a kind man,who,loved all animals,and was a good actor,and a great Man.:cool: :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool:

Heres my sisters cat Sophie, she is the daughter of a cat i used to have. Her name was Superpoo, but she was knocked down and killed by a car - hence my decision to make my cats indoor kitties. I did not take many photos of Superpoo unfortunatley. Anyway heres Sophie

Another (failed) former foster kitty - this baby was found in a dumpster (what is the matter with some people?????) when she was about 3 weeks old. I hand-fed her for several weeks; and then couldn't let her go and be adopted by somebody else! She's about 6 months old now, long and lean - and very mischievous.

This is my first day on this forum and not sure I'm doing things correctly but had to start somewhere. I love cats and have been owned by one since I was in high school, and that was many many years ago.

My Sarah adopted me when she was 3 or 4 years old, not sure, just a guess by the vet, appeared in my yard one day, eating bread, I'd put out for the birds and never left. She has been with me now for 8 years and is my best friend, my companion, and showers me with unconditional love.

I will try to attach her picture here, but not sure if I can figure out how. Any way I'm glad I found this sight, someone posted it on the AARP forum site.

Hi RedHedd...Thanks for the welcome, I'm still lurking till I get the hang of this site. Am I right that you live in SF....I lived in Concord in Contra Costa County for 9 years back in the '60s, love that part of Northern CA, but live most of my life in Southern CA. Will be going to visit my son in San Clemente for Thanksgiving, I love to visit CA but don't think I would want to live there anymore, love the slow pace of East Tennessee.

This is my Sophie. She was found on my friend's doorstep, looked completely gray, and was incredibly timid. She's a total love bug, sleeps with me all the time, but is absolutely petrified of strangers and anything loud (like my parents, who never see her unless they scavenge for her when they visit).
