Today one of the largest army national gaurd troops arrived home after 15 months in Iraq . We had 150 cars for them and a parade route of 61/2 miles lined with flags people and ribbons . My son took some pictures. They filmed it to send to other bases and for moral over there . I cried the whole time .
There were about 10 of these jeeps

Ben was tring to get the little girl who was holding the flag to stand up and be in the photo but she wouldn't so he had to shoot quick so most of the humvee was in the pic.
They let kids out of all the schools to be there today . I was so proud to see how many people came out.
They had a close freind and family lunchon after at the fairgrounds expected about 2500 people. This guard unit has 160 perosnnal. just about 50-50 on genders.
These are the guys who did the delivery that the one unit refused too.

God Bless em. My nephew just got a Medical Discharge. While in Fallujah, a car bomb exploded and he has nerve damage in his leg from the concussion of the bomb. Only 19. He spent 11 months there.

A group of Engineers is coming home this weekend. The Armory is right down the street from where I live. I hope to see them.

Welcome home!:):):) They deserve all that and more:) Corinna, I've been reading on the news how your governor is fighting hard to bring home those Montana Nat. Guard members, especially the engineers and helicopter pilots who have already served so valiantly, as you are expecting a bad season of wild fires after a prolonged drought and they will be needed:(
