Just wanted to share these pictures I took this afternoon, they are of my fathers amaryllis plant I got him for Christmas. It just started to bloom today.

That is a very pretty flower. I really like the orange color of it. And I'm sure it's even PRETTIER in person!

The flower measures 6 inches wide... I don't know much about flowers, just thought it looked beautiful today. :)

wow! the juxtaposition of the almost tropically vivid color against the white of the snow makes these pictures almost surreal. thanks for sharing

I don't know why but this sentence really made me laugh! It reminded me of something you'd here on a movie LOL. :D

LOL:D i am soooo ready for spring here, it's snowing again, my gardening books are piling up, and i swear the whiteflower farms catalogue is almost horticutural pornography. i need to plant something, clean up and till a flower bed, something soon! ;)
