Wow, this is crazy. Because the kids of this generation are growing up watching anime, Warner Brothers decided to update the classic Looney Tunes characters. They retired Porky Pig.

Here is a picture: http://www.azcentral.com/ent/tv/pics/0218looney.jpg

And an article:

Oh no, I love classic Looney Tunes but I don't think I'll like this. Guess I'm not their targeted audience anyway.

I would much rather the older version, for sure. I miss the Flinstones, and Fraggles and Smurfs...but Noggin is a channel we get here in Maryland, and it generally has all great shows and cartoons for kids...ones that make the kids think while watching it...and are very kid friendly...anyway, i say stick to the old Bugs Bunny!!! :)

ok I LOVE anime, but that is just riduculous, I have always loved the loony toons because of the classic falling anvil lol a bunny with super powers? give me a break.

I agree. I love the classics and think this new style is silly. I understand them wanting to appeal to the kids who like anime, but I wish they would have made completely new characters.

Those are horrible. I think it's sad that the Looney Toons characters are leaving.

I think this is a really bad move on their part, kids like Anime, but kids also like loony toons, like I said before I am a huge fan of anime but I seriously doubt this idea will go over well at all.

They'll still be playing the old characters on certain channels (I think Cartoon Network). These futuristic guys will be on the WB on Saturday mornings.

I'm a huge fan of anime (anime being Japanese animation. The ones targeted for older audiences lol) however, this cartoon seems silly??

Seems like these would be agitating to a child. They certainly affect me that way. Develop new characters if you want, but don't try to reinvent the already beloved originals.

I pretty much agree with everyone who's posted here so far... why do they feel the need to do this? :(

If I were a kid who grew up watching Looney Tunes, and then they switched it to this, I would be having nightmares, their smiles are freaky, nto to mention their funny characters! :(

Why woudl they do this?
