It was a man for a while, but now is a woman. She is a friend of my moms and is really nice/caring. The other guy hated Josie because she barks and growls (because she is afraid of the vet) but Dr. Foote is very patient with her

Well, there are two vets that I use at the same practice.

The owner (who is a man) is mainly a dog and cat vet, so he treats Snowy.

But than his partner (who is a woman) will treat Snowy. She also is a small animal and avian vet, so Taffy and Buttons go to her when they need it.

Our current vet is a man by the name of Mario Townsend. He has a wonderful thick, Italian accent. I have to bite the inside of my mouth sometimes to keep from laughing. Whenever we have an appointment and he walks in the room, I think "It's a-me, Mario" in my head. :D

at first we had a man, but then we switched to the holistic vet in the same clinic, and she is a woman. she is great, she has her own office in the basment while the other vets have to share, because she has all her holistic meds and such and does accupuncture and such. she lets the animals run around her office and explores and makes friends with them before she does anything, she takes the time to talk and explain everything etc.. she is an award winning holistic vet and does seminars and such, needless to say she is a bit expensive but she is the only vet we trust with our animals.

Our vet is a woman. She is so sweet with animals. Before examining them, she always hugs them and plays a bit!
She is the best!!

ps. A funny anecdote:Her name is Eva Pint. Last time, I wanted to ask her how much I owed her. Instead of asking "how many euro's", I asked "how many pints ?" Oh my, I turned all red :o ;)

I have a few different vets who work at the same clinic and one who works at a different clinic. At the first clinic, I generally try to request a woman there that I really like. Lolly especially feels MUCH more comfortable with women. The other vet I see at the different clinic is a man.

Kia, Zam, and Logan's current vet is a woman.

The nearest exotic animal vet is a man. :)

The practice where I have always taken my animals added on a woman a few years back - I saw her once but really prefer the original man - so I always make my appointments with him. He loves cats and spends lost of time with them - even playing a bit!

Nino's current vet is a man- Dr. Needleman. His 1st vet was a woman who was in love with his "muscular thighs":D

I voted woman, because the vet we see most of the time is a woman. A man actually owns the practice, and we do see him occasionally. He is semi-retired, though.

There are two vets at the office I take mine to, one man, one woman. Both are good with them and I am happy with whichever one I see,,

We've had both male and female vets in the past, but our current vet is female.
The poll is currently tied! (27-27)

The vet's office we went to for 4 years was mostly women...5 or 6, and 1 man. But we recently switched and now we go to a man.

Right now its a male. But that might change soon because we might change vets. :)

my main vet , dr bev steckert, is female, and just purely wonderful. the other partners, dr kofron(female), dr muggee(male) and dr norris(founder and now semi retired partner) are all good, but alex loves her, she fusses over him and he'll do almost anything for her. when it was time for me to help duke over to the rainbow bridge, she was very gentle with the sweet old boy, and very kind to me. a few days after his passing, she sent me a sympathy card and flowers. i was so touched.

Our vet clinic consists of whoever happens to be stationed here at the time:rolleyes: The vets here all have a tendency to rush in, give kitty its' shots, and rush out. There is little time in the lives of the military vets here to spend cuddling and playing:mad:  :D I have seen a man and a woman with Boomer.

There are five vets where we go to, two men, three women, but we always try and see Marion, as she just loves our kids. The others are also very good with them.

I had to vote for both because my vet is in a group with two men and a woman. I love one of the men in particular but I usually get whoever is available when I go in, except for Ripley. The vet I love so much always sees Ripley since he operated on and took care of Ripley when he was shot and later when he had the serious blood infection that almost killed him.

Paxil's vet is a woman. Because Paxil has special care needs right now, I am going to leave her care in with the same doctor. She's perfectly competent and a very nice lady. I'm confident in her ability to care for Paxil.

However, my two most favorite vets, both men, just left my current clinic and opened their own. They officially opened today and all of my other animals will be going to them. Dr. Brown is far and away the best vet I've used. He's compassionate, gentle, knows his stuff and will admit when he doesn't know and seek help. His partner, Dr. Friendenburg, is a bit of a cat specialist. Between the two of them they have saved Pete's life repeatedly, patched up my dogs and solved many problems for me. When no solution exsisted for Hoodoo, Dr. Brown gave him a quick, painless, gentle release. I particularly like Dr. B because he can deal with me, even when I'm hysterical. I believe there is an art to dealing with an upset owner and he has it down pat.

Both of the vets I go to for small animals are men. For the dogs/cat I usually see a man but he is getting really old so sometimes I see the female doctor in the same office, she's awesome too.

Although there are 4 women vets and 4 men vets at the place we go, we generally see the women vets 90% of the time. It just seems to be the way the scheduling works.

I voted "woman" because it has always been a woman, but when I took snowy to the vet this morning, the vet was a man :D so I guess I should've said both.
