Here' our new big boy - Samson. 120 lbs of Golden-Great Pyrenees love! Notice supersized tennis ball required for supersized dog!

He's getting on fine with the Tribe - they just want to know why we "super-sized" this Golden!

Intros are progressing well. Sam is learning fast that the boys are friendly.

Guess this means we need to post a little on the dog side.
:D

WOW!! What AWESOME dog!! He is georgeous and bound to be a instant hit with your tribe... Just look how much is there for them to snuggle up with on a cold night.. Cats ain't stupid!

My sister had a great pyrenees named Morgan and that dog was nothing but a teddy bear. She was so beautiful and so darn SWEET but my sister was living in a real small house and didn't have room for her, gave her to a family that had room for her to roam and play without distroying the house... A friend gave her the dog, simply because she made the remark on what a beautiful dog she was....

Wow, things are going smoothly. I don't think a super sized pooch would be so welcomed by my gang.

Sam sure is gorgeous! You definitely need to be showing him off in Dog General.

Welcome to PT Sam!!:)

That is One Wonderful Dog,that you have given A Furr Ever Home,to,and he will rewaed you,a Million Times,Over. And its nice, that, the Cats, are getting, used to the Big fellow,so quickly, and they sense, not his size, but his tender heart.

Thanks for the complements! Sam is a "head -turner" if not just by size alone. He gets attention.

Here's the first swim in the neighborhood lake.

OMG, your Sam is absolutely GORGEOUS.
I know Sam is not a pure bred Great Pyrenees, but I just love those dogs. They are such gentle giants.

Those pictures with the cats are priceless and also the ones of Sam swimming.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful dog with us.

Would you mind if I took a few pictures to add to my pictures so I could use them as my wallpaper?

Sam & Tribe - Day 3:

All is progressing well. Sam gets a little excited when the cats start racing around chasing each other - he seems to want to play too, but is WAAAY to big for that. He also was "too interested" in Pippin for a while, but he knows what "Sam, NO!" means and we've not allowed him to even sniff Pippin without hearing it. He will learn fast what is considered good manners - he's SO smart and wants to please us SO much.
Lots of rules right now, but he is good with rules and a routine the foster family said, so we are being strict, but loving of course. We have baby gates up to a couple of rooms so the cats have a place to feel safe if they need it. So far, William, Tiger and Percy are like....big deal. Pippin is also fine. Norbert is Norbert and will come around when he feels like it.
William decided to extend a royal scepter or two and try out his new bed - we didn't have the heart to tell him we bought it for the big dog!
