It has been pouring rain the last couple of days.
This morning I took a few pictures.

Not sure if you can see, but the dull streaks
in the picture are actually rain drops falling.

Sorry about the dark pictures, I did not use
the night option except on Rocky's.

Sheba and Rocky are not happy about the rain, and
will not leave the comfort of the patio cover.
For an old dog, Sheba can sure hold her bladder. :D

:( what happened to sunny california??

I was up last night for almost an hour listening to crashing thunder.

P.S.~ My dogs won't go potty if it's raining either... they just stay on the porch :p

Devon,
I was sleeping and missed most of the thunder and lightening.
By the time I awoke it had pretty much passed.

As long as my roof doesn't leak I actually like the rain.
Sometimes I will sit outside just to watch it.

... of First Shepherd Casey (RB :( )...

No matter HOW *badly* she wanted (or  NEEDED)
to make a poddy trip out in the yard...

THAT *LOOK* (from UNDER the roof) was what ya got untill
the Hoomin went out IN THE RAIN <WITH> her!!

And you could NOT get away with a
"step off the porch and duck back under" ...
She'd *STOP* (in mid-pee) and run back right beside ya!!

As long as YOU stayed with her - she'd "Play in the Rain"
for HOURS and think nothing of it!

(I sure *miss* that Dawg!!)

It's still POURING!! The thunder was spectacular. My youngest son has decided to drive with some friends to Joshua Tree (we are in OC) and camp overnight--now that's insane, and of course I'm freaking about flash floods!

My dog and cats love this weather--we are home, heat is on, they can spend the day cuddling each other and us!

Sorry you are having so much rain, Karen. Hope the furkids have had a break so they can go out and potty....lol.

I'm just glad to see some pics of Rocky and Sheba!! Gosh, I just love those two and can't ever get enough of them. You need to share them some more. No fair keeping them all to your self!

Katie says she misses her Rocky and never gets to see enough of him ;)

Give those two big cuddle bugs a hug and kiss from me.

Hugs....Robin :)

Poor pups, I hope it stopped raining long enough for them to go potty! I had a shepard/collie years ago that refused to go out if it was pouring and she peed on the porch a few times. :)

Cinder & Smoke,
That is so sad even though they are fond
memories. I miss my R.B. bridge girls too.

chocolatepuppy and all,
Good news, The rain let up and I even see
some blue sky among the clouds.
Dog were happy to go outside again.
Pepper came over and she had to go run in the mud.

Thandi,
I hope your son is having a good time camping
with all this wet weather. I never liked camping
in the rain. I would lean on the tent when I was sleeping
and the water would come through the material.

GraciesMommy, I hope it doesn't hale your way.
If I recall parts of TX get hail the size of golf balls.

Robin Rocky sends special kisses to his girl.

I wish it would either rain or snow here... were usually up to our eye brows in snow this time of year,, but i guess were having a really mild winter as there is hardly any snow left. it oddly looks like spring out there.. a sign that its going to be a really dry summer.

I was quite happily looking through pet talk yesterday when this almighty storm came over. I was in the process of shutting down the computer when the power went out. The storm was centered right over the Hills district of Sydney where I live. Lots of damage done and 50,000 home were blacked out. Power came on for us about 12 hours later. My poor neighbour had a tree go down in his front yard which ripped out the power lines to his house, so he is still with out power and is on a waiting list to get fixed. Two streets over theyare on another grid and are still without power 24 hours later. The hail that came down was about the size of marbles and made quite a racket with the thunder & lightning. The dogs were okay as they were more interested in the schmakos we gave them, made me jump a bit though. :D

Err, maybe not. AS much as I like snow, I wouldn't want to live in it. :D

I love a mighty thunderstorm! It makes me sooooooooo happy! I get really, really exited and it sort of puts me into a trance..... Then I absent-mindedly wander outside and walk around in the rain with Nino. He likes it too. It calms us both and soothes us. My fav sky colors are grey-blue, grey, haizy-green, and dark night. I know, I'm a bit different in this aspect.

You feel different because of all of the positive ions in the air, which put a charge on your body. Everyone generally gets some reaction from a lightning storm. (I'm usually angry because the power always goes out:D )

Another storm is coming over. By everyone, hopefully the power stays on this time, but I better shut down.

Oggyflute,
Sounds awfull because of the loss of power.
I get nervous when we have a power outage at night.
Luckly it doesn't happened to often.

I would love it, if it would snow for at least one day
my way. I would get out of going to work. ;)
I live in the valley, which is to warm for snow.
I would have to drive 1.5 hours to the nearest mountain
level for some snow.

Just popping back in to see these precious babies. I am so in love with them and wish that I could meet them in person!

Karen, please give them both a big hug and kiss from me! I want you to start posting more pictures of them. You need to share them with us some more!!!

Hugs....Robin :)

Generally we only get the severe storms in Feb, but it is a major inconvenience to have your power out. I missed my favourite show on TV saturday, The Iron Chef. :D

I'm not sure I could live in snow. I like it, but I wouldn't want to live with it. I had to work outside in Switzerland once when it was -26deg C. Way to cold. The Aussie sunshine will do. :D

Karen,

I'd switch places with you until summer comes! Your pictures at least show that your yard is grassy. From about November to April or May, our yard is a muddy mess unless it has snow on the ground! Everytime I let the dogs out they have to have their paws wiped before they can come into the house. :(

The average sunshine in our area is said to be about 60 days out of the year! :(
