I know that puppies are nippy and such, but they still need to be trained not to, right? What is the best way to do this? I want to give my sister the best advice I can to train Jade properly. She says she only nips and her youngest child, but probably because he runs around and I'm guessing she think's it's a game. How would you train a pup not to bite/nip?

Thanks a lot, there was some good stuff there. I'll pass it on to my sister :)

Could it possibly be the BC in him? Borders use a "nipping" type herding style. If that's it, I'd correct it immediatly. Herding is a modified prey drive.

Whenever Major did that I yelled No! and went inside for about 2 minutes. I know that probably wouldn't work in your sisters sitution but she could leave the room or ignore him..hope that helped.
