The girls and I are just hanging out this evening watching the Westminster. Katie and Tori really seem to be enjoying it and I am ooohhhing and awwwing over each and every dog. I love them all! Sadly, we didn't get to see the working group with the akita and husky. :(

lol! I can't believe those two just watch the TV like that! Then again, if I had a set-up like that, I bet my girls would watch too! ;) ;)

Who were they cheering for during Best in Show??

Robin, I will not let my husband see these pictures. He would fall in love with your tv! LOL!!!! :)

I can't believe it, but I didn't watch. Hopefully it will be replayed at a better time for me to watch it. Who won???

Cute!!!

We just watched it too--well I did, and the dogs slept. Jada watched a little bit.
The Akita was on last night and was so gorgeous--black and white--I've never seen one like it!!!!

The winner was the German Shorthair Pointer, Carlee.

Tori and Katie are adorable! I hope they enjoyed the show!

You know, your two watching the dog show reminded me of a funny story my old boss told me.

When the dog shows would come on tv, she would take a dining room chair and place it directly in front of the TV. Then she would let her Lhasa Apso, Fancy, sit on the chair. Fancy would watch the dogs go by on TV, get wound up and would bark. Then when it went to commercial, she would jump down and run around and around the TV trying to figure out where the dogs went!

There really intently watching TV. Do they just watch dog shows or do they have other favourites?

My dogs will occassionally watch Inspector Rex, but ususally only when Rex barks or something.

Yes, they really were watching. It was just the cutest thing. Every once in awhile something will catch their attention on the big tv and they will watch for a bit, but last night they really did seem to stop and watch for quite awhile. I had it on the Westminster for the entire show and the girls would play and then stop to watch all evening long.

I'm not for sure who their favorite was but during the best in show session Tori was glued to the TV when the border collie was making the rounds. I swear her head was following that dog every where. For once I could not choose my favorite. They were all gorgeous. I was happy for the German Shorthaired Pointer and it made me think of Miranda and miss her. I hope she got to see it.

And...yes, the tv is a very nice set up! It was a major purchase that we made last year. For once I was the one that pushed to spend the big bucks and get this. Usually I'm the one that says NO thats too much money...lol. We are not big on going out and this is our main source of entertainment and I have to say I LOVE IT!!! Cmon, Logan, let hubby see the pics!;) :p You guys can get one too!!:p

Thanks for the comments everyone!.........Robin :)

Oh my gosh! Those pictures are sooooo cute! *L* Your two look so intent on the dog show. How nice for the networks to show something our pets enjoy now and then.

I forgot about the dog show last night...but Sequoia did enjoy watching the Puppy Bowl on Super Bowl sunday.

Great pics Robin! Gull wants to come over and watch TV with the girls. :) Boy, I'd love to have a TV that big, but I'd never be able to pry Gull away from it, I've no doubt. :)

The German Short haired Pointer won Best in Show (for whoever asked). I think her name was Carlee. Here's a link to an article on MSNBC. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6964319/

AHHHH!!!!   I missed WESTMINSTER!?!?! I've been waiting to see it ALL year! I am so mad at myself. Do you know if they are replaying it? I guess I still have the IKC dog show in Chicago. It won't be on tv, but I'm going. It's a really big benched show and there should be more breeds than the AKC. Is anyone else going?

wow, that was unexpected. I was thinking Stump or Tux, or maybe Knotty again.

What cute and attentive girls you have!!

Spot layed on my lap and watched for awhile, but overall, they weren't too interested...more interested in the rawhide bones they were working on!!!

Which site? I would LOVE to see the breed rings for once. I hate how they always cut that part out of the tv airing.
