There is this same thread in General, but I thought it would be fun here, too! I did a search of my name and clicked "ascending order" to find my very first. I posted twice in other threads with a comment on the day I joined which was 8/30/03 - but this is my first REAL post. It was from September 2003 :)
Introduction (http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?s=&postid=485267#post485267)

How about finding YOUR very first post and putting it here??

PS: Marty is the pen name I always used on the Internet back then:D

Gary - you joined September 2002 - about a year before I did. I did a search and at first - you only posted to Cat of the Day. Your first post to Cat General is here. (http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?s=&postid=178944#post178944) It was the same month you joined.....back when the Found Cats were Lost Cats;) :p

I believe this (http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=16327) is the first THREAD you began:)

Here's my first couple of posts at PT. I remember when I came to this site I was looking for answers because Nakita had a bad reaction to the drugs they used during her spay operation. Thankfully everything turned out alright!

First post in Cat General with pics of Nakita at 6 months old! I remember I couldn't believe how many responses I received and how welcome everyone made me feel! :) Now I just need to find the time to post more! ;)

http://www.petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17335

OK, it is in several of my posts ... must be whatever photo server I was using places that icon in, after you delete your pic ... how odd!

This is my first official introduction post ... pretty useless now since I no longer have that website!

Gary I did a search on the members list for you and here is your very first post on PT.

You joined PT on September 10, 2002, and your first post was made on the Cat of the Day, titled; "Bastet from Brisbane."
Posted on Septemeber 10, 2002 at 5:06 P.M.;

"Cats and Dogs
Actually the main difference between cats and dogs is that dogs tend to be pack animals and cats are loners, which is why a dog is more visibly affectinate. And cats being smaller are more cautios than dogs in thier relations to people, thusly the man/woman comparisons. But all this iside Bastet is a beautiful cat and well deserves her Goddess name.MEEEEOW>"

OOPPPSSSS: I am so sorry Debbie, I just finished reading all the posts and didn't realize that you also did a search on Gary.:o

Note to self:Must read all the posts first before answering, as not to step on anyone's toes.

I joined PT on February 14, 2002. My gosh, it will be 3 years on Monday that I have been here and yet it seems much longer than that. :D
I lurked for awhile before I posted on March 2, 2002 on a Cat of the Day thread titled, "Tiger Lily"

My very first post on PT; :)

Tiger Lily
I have never seen a calico tiger kitty before. What beautiful markings and color on her. Congratualtions on owning such a
beautiful and precious kitty.

My first posts were in the Cat of the Day forum because I didn't know the other message boards existed. Here's one of my firsts where I talked about Kuhio. Kuhio (http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=31902)

It doesn't look like I ever "formally" introduced myself.

What a funny thread! :)

I came here in August 2000 when Luna was CotD, and my first post was a reply in "her" (http://67.15.70.205/talk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4659) thread, and this is what I wrote:

"Hi Margaret and Betty, I just found out that there is a message board on this site now!

I'm Luna's mommie, and I couldn't believe what huge reponse she got yesterday when she was Cat of the Day! It was wonderful and overwhelming!

Betty, I'm so sorry to hear about your losses! It's heartbreaking to let them go, I've been through the same this year when my Katz passed away at the age of 14. But Luna makes it so much easier to bear! Have a lot of fun with the new baby you're going to adopt, I'm sure it will be a cutie and brings a lot of joy!
"

And here's Luna's CotD-photo:

Whoa . . . .Deb, you joined PT just 2 months before I did. You have over 6000 posts - this one will be my 499th!!

My first -

And the situtation I was in, was resolved very nicely. The cats all disappeared into good homes. The person up the street is still there, house still for sale. She is remarried, has another female cat having kittens. But at least they haven't found our house yet.

The 6 month old gray cat that we kept, has grown up to become Grady -

Here is my first post on Pet Talk on the 9th March 2003
http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?s=&threadid=22312

My Sleeping Partner !!!
We adopted our first pet from the local rescue cat, 6 months ago , a beautiful friendly 8 year old black cat, we have named George.

He has always asked for affection when he wants it, though he seldom sits on either mine or my partners laps.

George has recently taken to sneaking upstairs to our bed (We half heartly keep him downstairs during the night).

He has recently started sleeping on my head !!!. I wake up to find him either in a ball leaning on one side of my face or wraped around the back of my head, either way he rests his chin on my head and purrs at me.

Is this just friendlyness or will he suffocate me !!

Seriously... Why has he started doing this. Any Ideas.

Thanks

Concerns over my head sleeping George :D

And Jen was the first person to reply to me and the foster mum of our eighth cat...Annie :D Small world yeh.
