Spotlight for TOMMY! (pics!)

Tasha's been hogging the spotlight lately with her cute and charming self. I didn't want to go too wild with pictures but since I have had a couple special requests, I decided to go ahead with my recent stash of Tommy photos. So here he goes, his own thread and the spotlight!


This was from just after he got all groomed, feet clipped, teefers brushed, coat brushed. The junk in the background is their grooming stuff.

Attempting to get a couple pics of myself with them. 7 seconds isn't enough time to get posed LOL. Tommy sat down nicely but didn't face the camera. Gives you an idea what a big boy he is though.

Would you come and do the beauty treatment on Keegan!?! We have WW III everytime we want to trim nails! :(

I wanted to tell you last week I showed my dad you're website (from you're profile) and the very first pic of Tommy he said "That's Keegan" and I scrolled to a pic of Tasha and said "And who does that look like?" He said "Shaianne - wow"
I said "It amazes me how much alike her 2 are of mine altho Shaianne has passed"

Tommy!! Hi there, Boy! Its so great to see you.

Wonderful pictures, Jess. Gosh, I just love your two pups. For some reason I really like the two pics with you in them. I know they aren't like these perfectly posed pics, but I think I just like seeing you with the pups. All three of you are beautiful. You are right, Tommy is a big boy and you can see Tasha in the background of the second pic of you and I was surpised at how tall she is.

It reminds me that I need to have some more pics of me taken with my girls. You know I don't think I have a single pic of me and Tori! I need to remedy that! Ok, I'm rambling here.

Awesome pictures of Tommy :) He is so unbeliebly beautiful. I never realazied how big he was!! I love the picture of him lying down with the sunlight on him.

Oh Jess! Thank you SO much posting some new pics of our beloved Tommy the Lumberjack!:D And the pics are made all the more special because you are in them too! What a beautiful lady you are, inside and out:) Gosh, you take the best pics. The lighting is exquisite and shows off Tommy's gorgeous coat and eyes so beautifully! Sorry I didn't respond yesterday, as I was gone most of the day until late. Thank you for all the wonderful compliments to my sweet boy (and to me :o).

Staci, I used to struggle with Tommy on feet clipping/nail clipping too. He wasn't aggressive of course, just a kicker and wiggler. I started keeping my treat pouch with me. I'd pick up his foot, and as soon as he would stay still and just let me hold it a moment, he got a treat. Then worked up to clipping one nail, got a treat. After awhile he got a treat after each foot was done. Now he lays there perfectly still and relaxed and gets a treat after we are all done :). It's amazing how fast treats can work on a very food-motivated dog ;).

Robin, I remember when Mom came up to visit me for the first time since Tasha was an adult and we had gotten Tommy. She had only seen her in pictures for a couple years and her first words at seeing her again were "Wow she is taller than I thought." I think Tommy makes her appear smaller than she is :D. It's very hard to buy sweaters and that kind of thing for her because she is such an in-between size. The medium stuff is too small and the large stuff is just a bit too big. She seems somewhere between a medium and large dog. She has very slim legs and small feet too. I generally have to get large sizes on sweaters and small sizes on booties.

Dixieland Dancer, Tommy is 4 and the past couple months are the first time I have noticed the white flecks here and there, around his eyes mostly. I imagine in the next year or two they will get more prominent. Though I know it's not really a sign of old age in a golden, it still made me sad the first time I saw them.

Sandra, Tommy is very happy to give you some smiles. If he could he'd send you big wet golden kisses :).

He is so cute. I love that first pic. I didn't realise how big he was(or how tiny you are?) Maybe a bit of both. I like the first one of him in the sun and of course I love the Tasha one. You've got yourself some very special dogs.

Thank you to those who have recently replied :). I have always thought he was a beautiful boy but I'm admittedly biased too ;). I am not really a tiny person, I'm about 5'5" tall. He's a pretty big boy, I believe larger than average for a golden.
