... and why she has to keep wearing it!

(in case you don't know it is her tail she is so intent on getting)

I'd stopped her getting her teeth on it and she is not pleased.

She went on to relax for a while (with tummy rubs :) ) and played with her mousie for a little, then began the tail grab again! (look for her paw)

awww!! Ebby looks so cute!!! Does she bite her tail raw?? Poor baby!

That black fur looks as soft as silk:) Is the secret to photographing black cats to have them on a light background?? She looks beautiful and I am glad she is enjoying a break from the cone.

Look at her being so sneaky trying to get at her tail. :D
Ebby, that's a big NO-NO sweetie.

She is such a gorgeous black beauty.

Does she have to wear the cone until her tail is completely healed and do you know if this biting her tail raw is like a forever thing?

Thanks, Debbie. :) And yes, she not only bites it raw but down to the bone too, at least that's what she did to the four inches she had removed.

Ebby is so pretty, she looks like she is enjoying her break
Thanks, Laura. :) Yes, she does enjoy her cone-breaks. :)

Thanks, rg_girlca. :) Yes, looks as though she will have to wear it for quite a while yet. As for if it's a forever thing, I don't know but it's sure looking that way. What the next step is your guess is as good as mine.

Poor Ebby, those bad ole E collars! I am sorry you cant touch your tail right now. BUT if you stop messing with it, eventually it will feel better, and you can attack it all day long;)
She is Beautiful, I LOVE HER EYES!

Ebby, you look so happy to be free of that cone... you better start behaving or that will become a permanent accessory! Need I send Miss Abby over to you to talk to you about being a conehead?

How could such a pretty girl be so nawtee! Poor Miss Ebbs! I'm so glad that Meowmie is giving you those cone-breaks. Feels good, doesn't it, but you really must stop biting at your tail. If it becomes a permanent fixture, Mz Edwina might have to make a visit over there to help accessorize it.

As always, my heart melts when I see your pretty facie. Kisses to sweet Ebbs and hugs to you Chris.

Max and Specks send headbumpies, too.

Ebby, please be a good girl and stop biting your tail. You're such a beauty and we'd love to continue to see you without the ugly e-collar. :)

I'm sorry to hear that poor Ebby is still attacking her tail. I hoped she would be better and cone-free by now. Poor velvety Ebby.

Please give her a huge cuddle from me and the girls send headbumpies.

I'm so sorry that Ebby is still having troubles.

My MIL is very close to having her calico's tail cropped.

It is not healing.
She goes to the vet today, but by the time of the appt. (4:30) we know it won't be done at that time.

Oh, Ebby, isn't it so good without that cone? Be a good girl and you won't have to wear it again.

Chris, everytime I see her pictures, it amazes me. She is SOOOOOOOOO beautiful. She's like a Naomi Campbell of cats :)

Sorry to hear about Ebby's tail! Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, I don't know what happened to her tail, but it sounds as if what I've read so far is she's biting it raw? If that becomes a problem for the long term can the tail be removed? I have no idea if that's a painful surgery?

Maybe that four inches being gone will make it too hard to get, although it doesn't look it.

Poor Ebby, leave your tail alone sweetie.

Yes, she did bite her tail raw and ended up having around 4 inches removed. Whether she will have to have more taken off depends on whether she keeps on biting and causing more damage.

About the same, slick, thanks for asking. This morning she was pretty good on her cone-off time. But this evening she wasn't so good, after about an hour cone free she tried to get at her tail a few times so she now has it back on until tommorow.
