I know the love of a stray is different than one from a kitten that has been handled from birth. A stray is so grateful for the things that you do for them. I am sorry for your loss and I knwo that he brought you much light and love.

What a shame. But yes, he was fortunate to find the rare humans that let him live out his time in comfort and happiness. He could easily have missed out on that.
