Anyone want one?

Gmail is Google web-based mail service. It's free, and while you see Google ads on the side of the page where you read your messages, they are easy to ignore. They do NOT put ads in the email you send to others.

They keep changing little things and improving stuff and I now have 50 (fifty!) invites I can give to people. (It is by invitation only.)

If you'd like one, send me your current email address and your real name, and I'll send you an invitation!

That's okay! Two people sent me PMs, so I sent them their invitations. You no longer need the person's name, just the current email address. Still 47 invitations left (I misspelled one person's email address, so that used up an extra.)

It's just a way to get a GMail account. Someone sends you an invitation, you reply, and then you've got the account, that's all!

The most I ever had before this was 6 at a time. I have sent a bunch out, had 5 left before this ( they always give you more before you "run out") then I looked the other day and I had 50!!!!

Hee Hee - I now have 50 invitations! And we now know for sure that they work from outside the US, and even outside the Americas!

A benefit I forgot to mention is that Gmail allows you a gigabyte of storage, so you'll probably never have to throw an email away if you don't want to.

Also, their spam filtering is very good - I've never had a "good" message end up in the spam box, or vice versa.

I just noticed that I have 50 invites too! I guess they are looking to expand to more people.
