I know exactly how you feel about losing your beloved Char and hoping to see him again. I lost my boy kitty Luke just over a year ago, and I still cry for him almost on a daily basis. I held him in my arms when my vet gave him the shot to release him from his pain and discomfort, telling him to find his way back to me somehow, that I would know him when I saw him again, no matter what kind of kitty he might be. I hope to be reunited with him in this life, but I know I will see again after I cross over.
You have all my sympathy for your loss of Char, but you can take comfort in the fact that many others share the same pain and know and understand what you're feeling.
