Need help posting a picture!

I am new to the site, and wanted to add a picture of my kitty, but my file size is too big. Can someone help me to get around this? Thank you!:)

How I post pictures is get an imagestation account and put your pictures in there. Then right click and go to properties, then copy the link. Then post reply and push the IMG button and paste the link and hit okay. I dont know how to down size though if thats what your asking. Oh and welcome to pet talk!!! I cant wait to here about your pets and see tons of pictures, we love pictures here. :D

Imagestation? Help! I have no idea what that is! When I try to add an avatar or attach file on this page, I am told the file size is too big. I did figure out how to resize pictures through my camera software, "best for web" size was 400x400, and was told this was still too big! Am I missing something?

P.S. Thanks for the welcome! I can't wait to share pictures too! As soon as I figure out how! I love looking at all of the ones posted here!
