Oh no, the shot of Prince wasn't ruined, it was perfect. That tongue sticking out is endearing and obviously is part of Prince's attitude. I know about the determination of trying to get just the right shot of your dog. One day I was doing the same thing, lying on the ground and waiting for the right "look" to snap a picture of my dog, when my neighbor came running out of her house. It seems she had seen me prone on the ground for such a long time that she thought something had happened to me. Anyway, congratulations to Prince for being Dog of the Day. He obviously deserves the distinction...as well as having a befitting name. Good dog, Prince, good dog.

RachelJ your note made me laugh. Only other pet lovers can understand the lengths we go to sometimes!!!! It's nice that your neighbor was concerned but that was oh so funny! You started out my day with a smile http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif

That picture is priceless!! It could win some serious awards! His expression says a lot about him and I'll bet he is just a joy to have around. Your lucky you got your dog to at least look towards you for that brief moment. One of my dogs likes to walk right into the camera. I tell her to sit and stay and then I back up and crouch down and get a great shot -- of the inside of her nose http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/rolleyes.gif But, that is what makes them so wonderful. Aren't dogs just the best!
