Hello All! I am from Cavy Seek and was just checking the referral stats on Cavy Seek to see where the traffic was coming from and there was a link to this thread. It's interesting to see that there are people enjoying the site, though it is not about Pets in particular. It's about everything. We have a seperate for for Cavies at http://www.cavycompendium.com

Our host has been unrealiable lately and we have had a great deal of downtime. It should be working in the future. I also noticed you are from Charleston, WV. I used to live there and worked for AT&T which is across from the Daniel Boone (aka 401 Capital St)on Washington St. They did a few lay offs due to down sizing and I ended up having to move to Columbus to find a decent job. I plan on going back once I get my degree as there are plenty of jobs in Chas if you have a degree (if not, you have very few options).

coco,

Thanks for the good word. I am happy to see people enjoying a site I put considerable time in. (-;

I am so happy to see some people interested in cavies, we breed them, and despite the bad rep breeders tend to get, we take very good care of our pigs. As opposed to owning them, they own us...but I guess the same can be said for all animals

It is quite unfortunate that breeders tend to get a bad rap. I guess it's the nature of the politics that prevail in some circles in the Cavy Community that mark breeders as not caring about their Cavies. Many feel that breeders contriuble to an over population of Cavies, yet I have not seen such a problem. I remember that when I used to live in Charleston, there were times when every Pet Store in the area would not have any Guinea Pigs.
