Ice storms are very pretty arent they and it is surprising how well the trees etc recover in the Spring.

Beautiful pictures! We had ice storms off and on where I grew up (southwest Missouri), but don't have them often here in MN, sometimes in the spring. Your pictures are awesome!

Sara, I think you are the only person I know who gets excited over an ice storm! :D

I know you were hoping for snow though. We here in the Midwest, where ice and snow are more common, prefer snow storms over ice storms. Snow storms we can deal with but ice storms are nasty and cause many, many, many more problems than snow storms. Although.....they are pretty in their own right. ;)

Reminds me of the big ice storm in January of 1998 that we had here in Montreal. We had no power for 5 days and my poor brother had none for 28 days. Thank goodness he had a fireplace though. He even had the army in his area going door to door checking to make sure everyone was okay.
I'll have to search for some pictures that I have of it.

It makes for some beautiful pictures though.

Here are a few from SC, too. :) I guess you guys think we're crazy over the little bit we get, but we don't get it often!!!

A few of my furries:

No furry ones, just the view from the deck. Andrew's BBgun targets are still set up in the backyard! :o

How neat, Sara! I've never seen an ice storm, except for all these great PT pictures.

Thanks for sharing, guys!

The pictures of the fencing with all the ice between the wood was really neat! :)

I hope you're staying warm. How long was your power out?

Here are some pictures of the Ice Storm that we had in January of 1998. I pray we never see another one like it.

This is me being Queen of the Ice castle. Notice the big back hoe in the back that they had to use to break up the ice in the driveway and the laneways. My building is on the left side of the pic.
