I almost forgot a very important date! Three years ago today, my very first foster dogs arrived and never left! When they arrived, Preacher was so depressed, he could hardly move. A year in a shelter will do that to a dog! Franklin was so timid we could hardly touch him! They couldn't be separated for more than a few minutes. They are still good friends, but Franklin can function on his own now!

Franklin is a great sled dog. He'll run anywhere in the team, just as long as he doesn't get left in the yard. Oh, how he hates that!

At first, Franklin was afraid of the door. No way was he coming inside. He's over that now!

Preacher doesn't know he's blind and certainly not going to stop going wherever he wants to! We should all face life's challenges with the dignity and courage Preacher shows everyday. I have learned a great deal from him!
Happy Gotcha Day, my boys. I'm so glad we failed at fostering you!
