You know brother and sissy. That is a funny little story. Last year They were brought to me, someone heard them screaming out there window. So they went an inspected only to find them, a day old, no mother around. I made him leave them there for awhile to see if mom would show up and no mom, and they screamed the entire time.
So with there ambilical cords and all, off to my home they went. That was the hardest thing I have ever done. Many sleepless nights, but it was all worth it. Anyways as they got older my husband said I couldnt keep them. Even after all my hard work. So when they got older I didnt want to name them, because once you name them, Their family. So I called one brother and one sissy.

And of course later he told me I could keep them. By then they already would come to you by those names. So the story goes......

Beautiful cats! You should be proud of them!!!

Welcome to PT! you'll find this place is filled with pet addicts. Be forewarned... this place casts spells over people and they all run out and adopt more animals within a year. I myself went from 2 cats to 4 (plus 2 fosters) :D

hummmmm, I was wondering if people her admitted to how many they REALLY have. I know there aren't enough homes for the cats that are out there. But then again city's only usually allow 3 pets. no matter how well you take care of them. If you are a legal foster or care taker, whatever you call it. First question how do you legally become that? Also does this allow you to have more cats in your home that your city wouldnt know about? I am always in fear the city will come and take them, Some people say no matter how many you have, if you have more than the law allows you are a hoarder.
Just curious what could happen. Always wondered but never had anyone to ask

I have 7, 1 at work, and one ferrel Im working with.
As well as 2 colonies Im working on the TNR program.

I didn't even know the cit could limit you to the number of animals! A few members here would be in some serious trouble if this was the case everywhere! My good friend Jen is on here. She has 15 cats of her own plus a fluctuating number of fosters. It seems to me that limiting the number of pets a family owns would have a serious impact on the number of pets adopted (and the number of animals euthanized) each year. How sad.

I have no idea about legal fostering. I just volunteer for the local no-kill cat shelter. They try to put as many of their strays into foster families as possible. Its hard for them to find good foster families... either they don't know and understand cat behavior, or they end up keeping too many fosters and stop fostering. I myslef would love to foster non-stop... meaning once one cat leaves another takes it place. But my Pouncer gets too jealous and worked up when fosters are here so I only take a few in every few months. Maybe you can contact a local cat rescue and inquire about the 3 cat law and see if you can get around it by fostering. They surely would know.

I love your family!!! :) Have to admit that "Little Man" stole my heart. What happened with his eye, if you don't mind me asking?

Sissy reminds me very much of a short haired version of my Mimi. You can see her picture in my signature. My name is Logan (obviously) and along with my husband, daughter and 2 stepchildren, we have 3 Golden Retrievers, 1 Labrador Retriever, 2 cats, 2 Cockatiels and one Betta fish. Do you have any other kinds of animals or do you stick to cats? I'd LOVE to have more cats, but my Mimi and my husband say "NO", very emphatically.

I thought EVERYONE knew about Mr. Foggy. Poor little Guy, he was brought to me when he was about 5 weeks of age, his eyes were terrible, straight to the vet I went. Anyways I received antibiotics to help get him well, and his eyes better. One eye never completely healed, he would run into things and bump it, and it would swell back up, yukky situation. Then I relized it was a removal that was his only hope. I have attached some pictures for you too see. Anyways I was told the surgery would be 900.00, now dont get me wrong, but thats alot of money. So I was told by someone to call around so I did and actually found someone to do it for 450.00, By then I had ebay auction up and trying to help raise the money every way possible. I donated 200.00 of it myself. And everything was raised except 29.00. I am so thankful for the people out there that helped in this situation. So anyways weeks later I had become so attached to him, well you know, he stayed. He is Known as Mr. Foggy, but I keep calling him little man.

Again Thank YOu to all that helped and supported me in his recovery

Sorry that I missed all the information you provided before. I have pets that fall in every catagory and I get behind sometime, especially on the cats. I'm so glad that the sweet boy is doing just fine now. My parents have a 4 year old Boston Terrier (Terror) who lost an eye last year due to an infection. It hasn't slowed Mr. Darcy down one bit! :) I'm glad your "Little Man" hasn't been slowed down either.

You have an adorable fur family. Mr. Froggy is so cute. I'm so glad you were able to help him, and keep him.:D

As for pet limits in the home, here in the county I live they will make exceptions if your vet will write a letter vouching for your proper care and you're within a reasonable number.
