My 1st Cat Bed (pics)

You all inspired me to make a cat bed . . . so here it is.

Brodie likes it pretty well . . . Josie's never been one to lay in a bed . . . she prefers the floor or her tree. :)

It was harder to make than I thought it would be . . . but hopefully it will hold up. I used flannel instead of fleece because it was cheaper. ;)

Christa I think the bed looks GREAT!! I love the fabric you picked out and Brodie sure seems to like it. It looks really soft and cozy.

I just want to make sucky face with that baby Brodies little black chin so bad!!!:p :D :D

That bed is WAY WAY WAY better than the 2 I made. I still have enough fleece to make another bed. A few bandannas for color, and about 1 foot of wool skin. I am going to make more soon!
How did you get yours so perfectly round?

Wow Christa, you did great. It's very nice and I love your fabric choices. I think you'll find they get much easier to make as you go along, if you plan to make more. For me the first one was the hardest.

I made about 10-12 of that style last spring in flannel, fleece and a cool cotton for summer. I gave two to my parent's cat, kept a few for my kitties and donated the others to a shelter. I'm hoping to get busy making more in Feb.

I might make another one . . . I got the red fleece on sale for 1.99 a yard so I got a couple of yards. I'll have to find another print to make the sides with though.

I hope it does get easier! The hardest part is sewing the ends of the tube together!!!
