To me, there is nothing like traveling the trails on horseback, or "hacking" as some people call it. The peace, grace, and beauty of a horse and rider, as the two become one, galloping across a country field is quite the site to see. I used to ride dressage, but then one day I rode my friends horse western on a trail, and couldn't get enough of it, the quiet, paths, open fields, and beaches we crossed through was all too much. Soon afterwards I quit my lessons and bought my beautiful Quarter horse who enjoys riding the trails just as much as I do we are out for hours on end my horse is very muscular, and she will go through almost anything for me... water, mud, jumping ditches, anything she isn't scared of much.. but she gets in her "moods" Latly, when she isn't in a "mood" I will ride the trails bareback. I believe a good partership between horse and rider is very important, you need to have a special bonding, or attachment with your horse to get the best performance out of it, my mare has been through alot but with me she is safe from harm, and I am very gentle with her, and she knows it. I think she is spoiled to a point! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif
