Rules for Non-Pet Owners Who Visit and Like to Complain About Our Pets:

1. The dog lives here. You don't.

2. If you don't want dog hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture.

3. I like my dog a lot better than I like most people.

4. To you, she's a dog. To me, she's an adopted daughter who is short, hairy, walks on all fours and doesn't speak clearly.

5. Dogs are better than kids. They eat less, don't ask for money all the time, are easier to train, usually come when called, never drive your car, don't hang out with drug-using friends, don't smoke or drink, don't worry about buying the latest fashions, don't wear your clothes, don't need a gazillion dollars for college, and if they get pregnant, you can sell the pups.

The same applies to cats, except they ignore you until you are asleep.

LOL...I like this. Got a kick out of it.

I think there are certain family members who don't come to my house because of my girls. I have to admit they are unruly when company comes. They want to be all over them and I have a difficult time getting them to behave. I realize that this my fault amd something I need to work on. However, I do warn all my guests that if they are coming to my house to be prepared and don't wear anything nice...LOL. When my sister comes to visit she now wears her "doggie play clothes"! :p

My dogs are a part of me and if my company can't except them then I could care less if they come back.

I have that same exact feeling about when people come over. They are always like you have alot of dogs and just kinda look like we are crazy for having dogs in the house. If they don't like it leave! I love that! That was great!

I'm not going to keep my doggies locked up because a guest doesn't like dogs. I've actually said that to someone - "This is their house."

There are a few people who won't come to my house because of my furkids, no big loss. ;) I agree, it is their house.

My sister did a plaque for me with this on it. It hangs in a very prominent place in my livingroom.
