I do, I do!!! And my daughter thinks we need to have babies!!! LOL!!
We have two females, one of them is the peach color you described. The other is more brown. My daughter always says, "but Mom, you got to let your hamster have babies when you were a little girl". But I also had a petshop manager who would pay me 50 cents per baby!!! And then he resold them. But nowadays, with 2 big dogs, two cats and two hamsters, I don't think we need any babies!!!

You little boy sounds precious...I'm just not telling Helen!!

Oh, how I miss hamsters!! They were my first ever pet. My sisters and I begged and begged for a dog for years. Finally, one day my mom gave in and said, ok, we'll get a pet. How about a hamster? We were so excited! Our first hamster was dynomite, a brown and white teddy bear hamster. They are soooooo cute! I just want to squeeze them and cuddle them and hug them to pieces! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif Dynamite lived a long time, and he had several successors...all but 2 that were teddy bears http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif We had one albino and one golden. Aw...now I'm having a craving for them again! LOL The only thing I don't like about hamsters...they don't live long enough!! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/frown.gif
Breezy, Bananas sounds adorable. Does he run around in a wheel a lot?? http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif

I love hamsters! They were my first pet and have raised hamsters for a couple years. If your daughter "needs" babies, I think that would be great. Im 14 and raised them by myself at 12-13. It's so awsome! Ive had syberian and russian dwarf. Theyre tiny and very cute! Plus they are, (even babies) easy to care for.

My first furry pets were hamsters. Since I have asthma, that was all I could handle at the time. I had your usual tan hamsters and also a few teddy bear ones. I used to take them outside with me to let them play!! Now I've graduated to large dogs!

I love hamsters! My first pet was also a hamster. He looked like yours probably does, BreezyBabe. He was a peach-colored Teddy Bear hamster. I loved that little guy! His name was Ritz but we called him Hammy. He was so smart! When he wanted to come out of his cage, he would crawl up a tube to this little box with a metal cover, and he'd shake it loudly until I came to get him. We had some fun times together and he was so adorable http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif He died when he was two, six days after my birthday on January 17. The day before, he had been sick and my mom and I drove a looong way to a vet who could take care of my beloved furball. Hammy recieved a shot and some medicine I was to give him... but the next morning as I tried to give it to him, he died in my hands. It was sooo sad! I cried for five hours and couldn't go to school (I was in sixth grade then). I still miss him, even with Daisy around. Someday I will get a new hamster... they're such wonderful little creatures!

Here are some pictures of my girls, Evelyn and Phoebe. Evelyn is first (the cream colored one), then Phoebe, who is brown. The third picture is of Phoebe in Helen's nightshirt pocket. We call her a "pocket pet". She LOVES to be held. Sorry for the picture quality. The first two were taken by me, holding the hamsters, and using the webcam with NO help!!!

Sudilar I am sure many people had hamsters named Hammy... it's not too creative! Hehe. I never called him by his real name. Ritz just didn't fit. And also, I got a hamster because of asthma concerns! Wow we are a lot alike http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif After I lived through him, two years later my parents finally agreed to give a dog a try... hence Daisy http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

Logan your hamsters are adorable! How I miss those tiny quivering noses! Hammy loved to be held as well, and brushed too. I know it's weird, but I still have his brush in my room... it still has some of his long beautiful hair in it! But I had so much fun with that little guy... I loved scaring off my babysitters by plopping him on their heads and watching them run off, screaming "RATS! AUHHH, IT'S A RAT!" Hehe. Aw you guys are making my hamster cravings kick up again... maybe I'll go talk to Mom... http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/wink.gif

I love hampsters. But since I have a cat I can't get one. It's hard enough keeping him away from the birds.

I had one when I was younger. I didn't have much luck. It wouldn't let me touch it. It was an albino something-or-other. Before that one I bought a dwarf hampster. He was the most darling little thing. Unfortunatly I had him for three days and he died. I had bought him from a mall pet store. They refunded my money but it was sad.

I had Hamsters when I was a little girl! They're adorable! Most of them were named after boys from school that I thought were cute. Johnny, Chris and Xavier are just a few that I can remember...oh, the things we do when we're young and in love, LOL!! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/redface.gif

Wolflady, you're right, they really don't live very long. They last about as long as a young girl's crush!! http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/biggrin.gif

I love hampsters but our cats will nockthe cage over and eat them so I can't have any small pets unless they are in my room 24/7. They are so cute and cuddle!
