can car theifs get any dumber?

lol this story was in todays paper, the dumbest car theif ever in vancouver, he stole a 1995 Honda prelude, and made these changes:
many repairs
new drivers side door
new trunk
back fender
mirrors
tinted windows
detailed interior
new seats and seats belts
CD stereo system
and a fresh paint job

what did he do so stupid? he left the VIN and the licence plates on the car lol so a couple got there car stolen, and they said $5000-$7000 worth of fixin up, and then got there car back.


I would say that would be the best theft ever if it were my car!
