Looks like the right place to have some fishies. I am sure the Es would appreciate.

Oh no! I heard you had storm, but this is a bit much!! Not a pretty sight - and poor plant! :( It seems that you don't have to build a swimming pool after all.

Well for once we're in the same "boat" as you - pun intended. :D

We were supposed to get freezing rain today, but it's warm enough that it's all just rain. Tomorrow same thing and that, along with all the melting snow, is pushing all the rivers over their banks. We're expecting 2 days of rain and melting....and then we're hitting the deep freeze! Highs in the teens and lows in the single digits for the weekend. Everything will freeze into solid blocks of ice!

I know what all that rain means - now the pesky lawn is going to grow.

It doesn't rain THAT much in California! At least it didn't until you moved here. :p You brought some of that Midwest rain with you, and now it refuses to leave! LOL!!!

I don't think we've had rain like this for years though. I mean...we always have rain during the winter, but this year, its just too much. *sigh* Your poor backyard. Our's doesn't look like that...The water all went down the drain, so while it is wet, there's no huge puddle anywhere.

Oh man. :(

It's raining so bad that my Aunt and Uncle's new home has been delayed in being built. They are hoping what is done won't get swept away by mud. :(

Today around here it went from snow, to freezing rain, and it's supposed to rain for the next few days, then start snowing again on Friday. What a mess!

Well, have you thought what color tiles you'll use to border in your new pool? ;)

The plant was a ficus tree in excess of ten feet tall! What I find amazing is we did not hear it go down and it is right under our bedroom.

You have a nice pool in your backyard. I hate floods.

Yikes! This is such strange weather, isn't it? Especially for you southern CA folks! I don't think it's rained that hard down south for a long time! Heck, we've even gotten a lot for up north.

Just thinking about all of these weather oddities of the past year: FL hurricanes, the tsunami, the strange weather....I sure hope it's not going to be a "day after tomorrow" scenario!

Ooooooooh, Sara, you have a garden pond, without even having to dig it!!! Have you put any Koi in your pond yet??

In all seriousness, I am so sorry for the mess that is happening in California right now. Seems it is always something!
