When I read the title of the thread, I took a deep breath. I'm so sorry for your losses. I know how difficult it is to realize that a feral you've been caring for is no longer around.

I fed a feral cat named Shadow for over 5 years in a run down neighborhood in Hartford. His shelter was an abandoned building where a bunch of druggies did their thing. They never bothered me or the cat and actually thanked me for taking care of him.

I fed him on the way TO and FROM work. When I arrived, I'd always call out his name and could see him in the distance as he watched me fill his food and water dish. Well, one day I noticed his dish was still full. I called out for him and he was nowhere to be found. This cat had been living out in the "wild" for over 10 years which is a record for feral cats. I then realized that he was gone. :( I have a picture of him near his feeding area (taken from car) on my shelf to remind me of him. When I returned to CT for a visit, my bus passed by the lot where the abandoned building once stood. It's now a vacant lot.

RIP to all the ferals in the world!!!

That is horrible, that those Poor cats, are being persecuted, and killed,as it is not thier fault, that they are strays, and I wish, that they had a place,to hide, like my porch,as they would be safe, until we could rehome them. The Poor Cats, that you mentioned, are noe Pet Talker angels, and willsee you,and the other kind people,at the Rainbow Bridge, one day.

:( :(

RIP sweet kitties. You were loved even though you weren't ready to accept that love yet. I'm so sorry you had to die such a tragic death, but your death will not be in vain.:(

These ferals get to your heart. I'm just so angry ours died in this manner. We've been caring for them for 6 years now! They were fat, healthy, fixed, and happy. They are all very spooked right now, and with good reason. I hope this all calms down very soon.

I'm so sorry. I lit a candle for the park kitties. http://www.petpics.net/memory/

I'm sitting here in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska (minus 79.8 degrees) flipping through the park kitty calendar you sent me, bawling my eyes out.
