I am looking at point-and-shoot digital cameras for my friend.

What type of camera do you use?? Do you like it and would recommend it?

Thanks!!

I have a 4.0mp Sony Cyber-shot. GREAT camera! We've had it for a few years now and it's always taken great pictures (and videos with sound!). :)

Canon Powershot A80.

It's VERY user friendly and i'd recommend it, as well as other Canon cameras. I'll never have anything other!

I have a Canon Powershot A70 (first digicam) and a Canon Powershot A95. Both are excellent cameras and very user friendly. I'll always recommend Canons.

After doing alot of research on digital cameras with the help of a photographer friend, I chose the Kodak digital. The total package, including the card reader (my friend gave me 2 cards, with 257 MB's each=1,000/each card) cost me $250. I got it from a camera shop in NYC. My friend buys all his equipment there and they are the best prices around.

That was over 3 years ago. Digital camera prices have come WAY down since then. I'd highly recommend either Kodak or Nikon.

We have a FujiFilm FinePix A340 that we bought from BestBuy for $200. It's a 4.0 megal pixel and I like it. We didn't have a lot of money to spend so considering the price, I think we got a pretty good camera.

I def like Nikon the best, with Canon coming in second for me...but Nikon is just what I started with, so I'm a little bias. Sounds like we have a lot of Kodak users....:) I have very little experience with those, but I did like what I've seen. I just got rid of my Fiju for another Nikon, so I'm not such the fan of them right now, although the quality was great! (12 MP, 6 effective). Thanks for all your input everyone! :D Keep em' coming...

Canon Powershot A40. Love it. When it craters on me, I'm definitely getting another Canon.
