Okay, where do I begin???

After having a nice night with my cats, watching TV and going to bed at a reasonable hour, I awoke at 3 a.m. to arguing, coming from the back apartment.

I went to the back door and listened. The scheevbag female tenant in the back studio apartment was arguing with her "date" (or John for a better term). They settled down and I went back to bed.

At 7 a.m., I awoke again  to the banging on my back door by this piece of dirt asking to use my phone. It appears her "date" wouldn't leave. She wanted to make it "look" like she was calling the police so he would leave. The guy kept saying he'd leave at daylight. Helloooooo??? It's light out like NOW!!! Keep in mind, she has a restraining order against this guy, (evidentlly it's her ex) yet she invites him to her apartment. I ended up calling the cops. They came (traipsing through MY apartment in their snow covered boots after I told the dispatcher it was the REAR apartment and to go up the BACK stairs). They left my bottom front door WIDE open!! Fortunately my cats were too scared and scattered when they arrived. They went through the kitty room to the back door and escorted this jerk out. In the meantime, I closed my back door without disabling the deadbolt, which would've locked me out, had the cops not left my bottom door open. Ever have the pleasure of walking through the snow in your bare feet in your pj's? It's a real eye opener!!

*Yawn* Turns out the cops picked Micky (real named Myrtle) up a while ago for shoplifting and violation of probation, and she just got outta jail!!  They told the guy he needed to leave NOW. Told him they'd take him anywhere he wanted to go!  What the hell is Ecorse PD, a taxi service???

So now I'm wide awake, as "Micky" is in lala land. I've got a call into my landlord. *shakes*

Just another day in paradise.

Thanks for letting me vent, guys. God how I HATE this place!!!!!

Donna, I'm sorry that you and your furbabies had to have such a night! I would have been p.o.ed also. And I feel bad that you have such a sleaze living next to you. If something like that ever happens to you feel free to PM me or call me. You can let it out to me all you want. I love you and care about you. {{{{HUGS}}}}

Thanks everyone! All is quiet on the homefront. I spoke with my landlord. He IS that desperate for tenants. He told me he feels bad for her because she has no place else to go!! That's all well and good, but what about the OTHER tenants in this place???She has friends who own the bar down the street (the guy that was in her apt. is their son!!) Why can't she stay with them?? This woman is a real "ho". The landlord said he's going to have to do something. I sure wish he'd do it quick! I need my sleep!!

Kim,

It's a real waker upper, isn't it???  By the time I got inside, my feet were numb!

PD Taxi??

That's pretty common with many PD's...
They find it's easier & quicker & safer to just haul one of
the combatants out of the "war zone".

As for "hating the place" ...
Try to Remember - it IS "Kat Friendly" - which many
apartments are NOT! ;)

Sorry you had such a rough night Donna. No fun at all!

A good friend of ours used to own a duplex. She lived downstairs and rented out the top floor. She had some real doozey's inthere!! they would start out okay, but after various tenant moved out, we cleaned some gross, disgusting unimaginable things out. In some cases, the drugs were the good news.

The bad part in those situations, is that the law is on the side of the tenants. It is a long, drawn out, process to evict a tenant. Even if your landlord wanted to get rid of this tenant, if she knows the rues and her rights, he would hav to go to court several times (from my understand andmy friend's expereince) before the would kick her out...even if she stops paying her rent. "Squatter's Rights" If she is paying her rent, it is probably much easier and worth it to him to have her there, then to go through the process of trying to kick her out.

Phred,

Try to Remember - it IS "Kat Friendly" - which many
apartments are NOT!

You got THAT one right!!!

I spoke with my landlord this afternoon. He tried knocking on her door (she was home but didn't answer). He asked me what I thought he should do. I just told him that it's not my place and he's the one that has to make that decision.

Personally, I think she's a "ho" and needs to find other living arrangements and stop bothering the good tenants in the place. But that's only my opinion.
