Watch the dogs at school!

Today I took the kids to try out a new dayschool...and this one has several webcam's! I can't see it at work :( but I ran home to pick up my check book, and I was able to check on the dogs. Ihave seen them mostly on the "big dog" playroom, but brose around (they have 7 cameras!)

That is so great!! :D I have it up in the background so I can keep and eye on the kids! I saw Spot and Cincy (I think...) and tried to catch a photo, but all those dogs are so fast! Here's what I did catch though...look at all the pups!! :eek:

Oh, Amy, how funny! Your dad and I have been watching the grandogs for the last 10 minutes. You will have to let us know when you are taking them so we can "watch" them. They seem to be having a good time. Sadie has been playing with a big green ball that has a tug rope on it so a dog that looks like a German Shephard has been playing with her. Cincy was just laying there watching and Spot was just wondering around. How great is this place! And costs less than the other - I think you found a winner!

That's what I want to do for a living.......Spend my whole day around doggies. Pure heaven. And the prices are not that bad.

I think doggie day care is great. Tori and Katie have both been a few times and loved it. It really wears them out too! I love it that yours has the webcams. Wonderful!

No, not Monday...although since this place is 1/2 the cost of the place we had been going, they will go more often! I'll be sure to let eveyone know when they are there!

I wish I had been able to watch from work...although maybe it is good, since I am already working 9-10 hour days to try and keep up!! Funny thing is we just hired a new manager in our department and he takes his dog there too...so I have give the kids a "be nice to the boss's dog" speech before they go to school!!

Thanks for posting the pictures you captured! Inth little time I did get to watch, i never saw Spot, so I was happy to see himon the camera!

He never seemed to *stop* for long!
Each time the camera refreshed - Spot was in a different "spot"! :D

OMG that is so cool! I've been watching them play and it put such a HUGE smile on my face. Boy they look like they never slow down. What a fun and wonderful thing for them. Thanks for sharing this, I really enjoy it!

That is too cool. If you don't mind me asking, how much does something like that run (daycare with webcams)? I would LOVE to do something like that for Samantha one day... I would love to open up a place like that near here! There are no doggie daycares within an hour of my house that I know of.

Candy (Dixieland Dancer) actually opened her own doggy daycare in the last year or two, so as far as licensing, and cost, she may be one to talk to.

As far as my cost, this is the most reasonably priced place in town, and probably the nicest facility. The place we had been going since Sadie was a puppy was up to $3.00/hr/dog, and was costing me about $100/day. The dogs were only going once a month, cause that was all I could afford. And they had no web cam and were much busier. There is another place I thought about changing to, run by a former employee of the orginal place that was $2.50/dog/hr, and again, no web came, less "homey" of an environment.

At the new place, their standard fee is $20/day for anything over 4 hours. But if you buy multiple days at once, they cut the price. With me taking 3 dogs, they change me $16/day/dog, so it only costs $48/day. Huge difference!!

that place looks soo nice! lucky dogs!! Its so cool that you get to watch them play. I always wanted to take Gonzo to a daycare nearby, but I'm afraid they won't let him go because he isn't great with all dogs, most, but not all ^_^

I've been watching for a few minutes now but the camera view here is not the best quality. Hard to make dogs out especially black ones. I watched the swimming pool for Sadie but she never went in while I was watching. I do think I saw both her and Sadie but didn't catch site of Spottie boy!

The kids will be going to school today, and participating in Doggy Olympics!! The events are listed below and will take place between 10-11 am EST and 3-4pm EST. You should be able to watch the competition on the webcams!! Here is a link to the webpage, the cam option is on the right hand side (http://www.rovercomeoverdoggydaycare.com/arch/main/)

The Events are as follows:
Tobaggon Run - How long will your dog ride on a sled without jumping off.
Tennis - How many tennis balls can your dog retrieve in 5 mins.
Pupcorn Toss - How many pieces of pupcorn can they catch in 2 mins.
Push Ups - How many times can your dog "sit"/"down" in 2 mins.
Fastest Eater - Who finishes 1/2 cup of food first. (1/4 cup for small dogs)
Hot Dog Search - How long does it take to find and eat all 5 peices of cut up hot dog tossed in a baby pool of water.
Seek and Find - Hiding a treat under a cup and long it takes to find it.

Looks like most of the dogs are outside right now. I think that is Spot on the picnic table and Cincy laying beside it. Can't quite see Sadie but there is a bunch of dogs on the far side of the picnic table. What fun!

Looks like they are doing the popcorn toss right now. Two little pugs are competing. I don't think they are doing too well but it is kind of hard to tell. Meanwhile the rest of the big dogs are outside enjoying the sunshine!
