Auglaize County (st.marys) got hit hard with rain that frozed to ice. Our power went out Wednesday night, and all day Thursday. I'm so glad we have power on today because I'm was so bored, and about to go crazy since we had no power! Were pretty lucky too because some people by us dont have any power.

But what is good, is we had wed, thurs, and today off from school! :)

Some peoples trees broke through their windows, which scared me because our tree in the back yard is pretty close to our window, and with the ice and wind blowing is could break through.

Here are some pictures

those photos are gorgeous! Reminds me of the storm we had here years ago. The trees looked like diamonds when the sun shone.

Wow! That's a pretty heavy duty ice storm. My parents-in-law had an ice storm too (they live in Winchester, Indiana), and are without power too! They were told that they may not get their electricity back for 5 to 7 days!! Yikes! I'm getting cold just thinking about it!

Stay warm and drive safely if you go out in that!
**hugs**

That brings back memories from when I lived in New York.

Do you have a wood burning stove to keep heat in your house?

Yeah, we have what I think is a gas fireplace, that kept us warm when power was out. :)

Glad you all liked the pictures :)

I live very close to St. Marys, Ohio and we too had an ice storm. I know it causes lots of damage, but it is beautiful!

I agree! My mom fell when she was walking into work, because of ice. -- she's okay.

I am not sure but I think Shai's mom (Staci) may still be without electricity due to that same ice storm. She lives in Upper Sandusky and the news said that they may not get their power back until the middle of next week. Hope you're doing okay Staci!

We had that happen once when I was a teenager .... even though it is very hazardous, you have to admit, it is GORGEOUS!

Can you tell on this one that the yard is just one huge sheet of ice?
