I switched my internet virus protection from Norton's tonight to Macafee... and let me tell you... I had a few viruses! They weren't anything major - they just were set up to change my homepage (which I had already firgured out... that one was kinda obvious) and a few others along a similar vein.
I don't know if the viruses were worse than all the spyware. I downloaded some free spyware programs tonight and had over 200 pieces of spyware on my computer!
Its taken me almost 4 hours to get everything up and running and double checked. Now my computer is running 100 times better than before. If you don't already have a spyware protection protgram running, please check out www.microsoft.com/spyware - there are two free programs to download to check and protect your computer for spyware.
